Yeomanry Miniatures (1 Viewer)

Hi Louis,

I'm so pleased that the Aussie Model T Ford arrived safely and that you are pleased with it. The Model T Crewe Tractor will be in production soon. I have had a few problems with getting the rear coupling to cast which has delayed the start of production. The scenic base has also created a few problems but I hope these have been overcome now. I also intend to have the Crossley Lorry in Production by the date of The March show in London. There will be several versions including a lorry with a tilt with the sides rolled up and a lorry without tilt. We have re-worked the wheels for this vehicle and it will not only be possible to have it with either double rear wheels or single rear wheels but also with either spoked or wire wheels.

Regards,

Brian.

Dear Brian,

You keep making them, I'll keep buying the first one you produce!:wink2:

Great News Brian,

Keep us posted on the releases and as soon as you can load pics of not only the tractor but the lorry in the different versions you have mentioned.

Congrats

Hi All,

Just a short note to let everybody know that the Crossley Lorry seen as a prototype on this thread last year and displayed at the London Show in December 2011 starts production tomorrow.

At the same time Graham Pettitt of Toy Army Workshop fame has agreed to start making masters for Yeomanry Miniatures. The first items may well be ready around June time. I can't say what will be produced first but I am hoping for some artillery pieces and lorries. We will keep you posted!

Regards,

Brian.

I thought you might like to know that Yeomanry Miniatures now have their 1904 Rolls Royce Staff Car in production. There will be a few at the London Toy Soldier Show on 25th June and orders can be placed now.

The car and occupants comprising of Driver, 2 Staff Officers and a General Officer retails at £119.95 painted and £69.95 as a kit of parts, for all of you who prefer to do your own thing.

I enclose some pictures of the finished article.

See you at the show.

Does Graham still have the Rolls Royce moulds from the TAW days? I would love to get some of the Desert versions including the water carrier.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

Anything Graham produces for Yeomanry Miniatures in the future will be brand spanking new masters. All his old masters and moulds were passed on to the Australian Gentleman that you all love! While Graham will be making items that I want to produce there are a number of things he wants to make for himself, which, if commercially viable, will find their way into the Yeomanry Miniatures list.

A Rolls Royce amoured car will be one of the models I wish to have made but whether Graham makes the master or whether Dave Love makes it is, at the moment, in the lap of the gods.

Regards,

Brian.

You know I'm in for one each of whatever Brian chooses to sculpt for you. Another Rolls Royce Armored Car to go with my 6 Heco Tinplate versions and my Somerset version would be a fine beginning.:wink2:

All in all great news! Brian, I will send you an email with a specific inquriy, knowing that it may take a bit for it to appear, if ever, but I am sure, it will have the same magnificent charm!

Question, is there any way to confiscate back the moulds that were lost to Austrailia????? Just kidding, what a waste that was!

Tom

Hi All,

Dave has been recently providing an upgrade to 3 of my Rolls Royce Armoured cars...( open tops and closed turrent ones ) so he has had a lot of recent interaction with them.....let us see if the Gods will enlighted him towards coming up with a version for Brian and we can all benefit from it........If Graham also does that ..... even better.....given that the old masters went down into the Australian " Celestial hyperspace blackhole...." Who nows if these masters will resurface at some flea market and a kind Aussie soul grabs them and puts them back to good use.

Hi All,

Following Johnnybach's excellent thread regarding the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles mounted pipe and drum band under the "Painting" heading I thought you might like to know that the band will be available next month from Yeomanry Miniatures.

During the discussions regarding this band the mounted piper of the Lovat Scouts was touched upon and I can now confirm that this Regiment is about to be added to Yeomanry Miniatures Yeomanry Cavalry Range as I took delivery of the masters, from Trooper, today. There will be a mounted Officer, Piper and NCO/Trooper available in the near future as I am taking them to be put into molds on Friday. Give it a further week and they should be ready for painting.

I will be posting pictures of the Crossley Lorry versions later in the week along with the painted prototype of the Crewe Tractor. Before putting this into production I will be fitting smaller rail wheels so that the profile is better. The road version will then follow shortly afterwards.

Regards,

Brian

The lorry itself is available with either single or double wheels at the back and with either wire or spoked wheels. The photographs show the wire wheel version with double wheels at the rear.

I hope you like it.

Hi Guys and Gals,

Following on from yesterdays post I am now giving you pictures of the next item on the agenda. This is WW-33 in the Yeomanry Miniatures Listing and represents the Crossley Lorry with tilt (sides rolled up). The model again comes with the standing female figure which may be painted as either W.A.A.C. or W.R.A.F.. True to form there is again the choice of either spoked or wire wheels and double or single wheels on the rear wheels. The kit is supplied with enough wheels to complete any of the variations.

The cost of WW-32 or WW-33 is £119.95 painted or £73.95 as a kit of parts. The attached photographs show the spoked wheel version with double wheels at the rear.

Regards to all. Yeoman.Picture1.jpgPicture4.jpgPicture5.jpgPicture3.jpgPicture6.jpg

Hi Brian,

When will you quench our thirst with some really nice TAW style BIG GUNS......not just 13 and 18 pdrs that are now common in the market......but yes.....the real Western Front big guys....?

Regards,

Hi Artillery Crazy,

The masters have to be made first and with the best will in the world it takes time. Graham only agreed to make masters for Yeomanry Miniatures last month and when he made his last "BIG GUN" for TAW he was working on the masters for nearly six months before he was ready to put it into production. On top of that when the gun is finished and the first one is assembled boxes and packaging have to be aquired before any shipping takes place. This cannot be done before the first gun is assembled as the measurements of the finished article are needed before the order is placed. I'm afraid this process all takes time and money.

In the meantime there is an armoured car and a German staff car in the pipeline and the two inter-war years light tanks and the WW1 model T Ford Crewe Tractor which have all reached the prototype stage prior to going into production. At the same time I am still working on a Boer War Cavalry Maxim Gun with action figures which has taken a lot longer to perfect than originally planned, as the saying goes "The best laid plans of mice and men etc."

Regards

Yeoman.

Seeing as how you appear to be on a vehicle kick at the moment Brian, I just thought I might pop a little thought into both yours - and Graham's head.:smile2:

I was chatting the other day about one of these. :rolleyes2:

NAAFI_wagon_5.jpg

Apparently, nobody make a TS version any more. Now I know you're both extremely busy, but if you ever get a few minutes to draw breath..............maybe you might think about making one of these - with maybe half a dozen squaddies hanging about with a mug in one hand - and a Naafi doughnut in the other? If you also make a nice Naafi lady leaning out of it ......probably asking for the spoon that someone has nicked back, ...................so much the better!^&cool

I'd have a set like that..... anyone else interested?.................memories!........johnnybach:D

I would buy one in a heartbeat. CJB Models made a wonderful version back in the 1990's, and I think Heco Tinplate made one as well, but I would love a Yeomanry Miniatures/Toy Army Workshop version.:wink2:
