Yeomanry Miniatures (2 Viewers)

Brian, It would be great if you had a website. Then all this information would be readily available to all.:)

Chuck

I agree with Chuck. I didn't find the catalogue very helpful and a website would be incredibly helpful.

I'm surprised that you didn't find the "new" Catalogue very helpful as the feedback from the show was that this was what people wanted. I agree that the old Listing without pictures may not have been as informative as the "new" Catalogue but this was due to a lack of pictures to put in it and customers not wishing to pay the cost of a catalogue with pictures. In any case there will not be any additional information contained in a Web Site that is not already contained in the "new" Catalogue.

To date I have resisted increasing the cost of my products, while all around have been increasing theirs, and have managed hold them down over the last three years. One of the ways I have managed to do this is to stop accepting credit and debit cards as this was costing me some £60.00 per month for this privilege (Hire of equipment, commission, etc., before any purchases from customers). I now only accept PayPal, Cheques, Money Orders and Cash.

I too would like to have a Web Site and I know that customers would like the convenience of being able to obtain information on my products without having to pay for it but any further increases in costs (i.e.: purchase of a Domain Name, setting up the Web Site, costs which are incurred on a monthly or annual basis) will result in the inevitable increase in prices, which I have been trying to avoid.

However, If customers are happy to accept the increased costs I will consider your suggestion.

Regards,

Brian.

Brian, I think what a website would give you is much greater exposure. With the possibilities of increased revenue/profit this would help offset the cost of maintaining the site. Good luck to you whatever you decide.

I haven't seen the new catalogue and didn't know there was one. However, in this day and age, retailers just can't get by without a webpage, in my opinion. Although it may have initial start up costs, I'm sure it will pay for itself over time. A website is not one of those nice to have things, it's an essential.

Even a facebook page would be a help, costs nothing and you can post photos, interact with customers, customers can also post their pictures of your products that they have bought.

Good question....No idea....
The website stuff never took off ....at least I am not aware of.....
Brian usually showed up at the London Fairs ( I used to see his offerings at the forum pictures ) but have not heard/seen him at the last two fairs......
Maybe someone in the crew has word of him....
Cheers

What has happened to Yeomany Miniatures?

I have sent e-mails to his last known address - and PM'd him via the Treefrog site - regarding some figures ordered - but have had no response to either, to date.

I know that Brian wasn't in the best of health - so I'm not sure what may have happened.

If anyone has any information abut Brian - could they please share it with us - am hoping for a positive outcome. jb

Hi JB,
I have not spoken to Brian recently, but he must be ok, saw him pop in and out of Facebook a couple of times between yesterday and Friday...
Cheers

Brian wasn't at the London show a week ago - does he still advertise in the magazines?

I looked for Brian at the show to no avail as I wanted to ask him about his Vickers Light tanks to see if we could purchase castings. Very interested in offering these in our finish, with R4A figures in our 1948 Arab Israeli range and WW2 ranges.

Hope he is still in the game.

A hope so. I have several of their WWI and Interwar vehicles, and they are excellent!:salute:: Plus, Brian helped me obtain several CJB Models, and even painted some CJB castings for me. He is a very kind gentleman.

Don't think he's in the game anymore. Chris
