Hey Mate - don't worry, I dont buy it, and I won't take up you career advice and start a bee farm either..I'll leave that up to you..everybody's entitled to their own opinions. And if you think that I'm wrong in my assessment of this "Nazi-laden hobby" just look around and see what's being offered in WW2, mostly German stuff...who knows - you'll probably see sets of bees with swastikas soon enough, and you'll buy them too.

The Nazi issue has been beat to death on the forum. I'm not a fan of "if you like it don't buy it," but what else can you expect? It's an historical depiction. Not sure exactly how it glorifies the Nazis anymore than a photo from the era.

Well said. I was called a neo nazi the other day as I was taking some LAH figures to a collector. Its annoying that hobby members react in such a manner to these pieces.

History is littered with murderers in all shapes and guises its easy to see the attraction of these miniatures on an asthetic level without necessarily condoning what went on during their control.

I'm not calling anybody a Neo-Nazi because of what they collect..I'd be called the same if anybody saw my collection of WW2 German vehicles and fallschirmjagers and my many Confederate flags in my 400 piece ACW diorama..Just pushing a few buttons after they pushed mine.

I agree with everybody on all points..Nobody is a Nazi because of what their interests are and what they wish to collect....it's a hobby that we all enjoy, and rightly so without fear of insinuation. If everybody can suggest to Brian what they would like to see in the future, then I can do the same. Seems like we're all Collector's Showcase fans here..can't we all just get along?

Its all about lines we each draw and decisions we take with our collecting.Speaking personally you could not pay me to have a figure of that murdering B*****d Himmler in my house,there are murderers like Jack the Ripper,the Kray twins etc,and then there are people who tried to exterminate a whole race of people,carried out operations on children without anaesthetic and brought misery to the world.

Having said all that I don't for one moment think that the majority of people who collect this sort of stuff are Nazi loving fascists,thats just not the case.But those who do collect it must also accept that there are those who most certainly are Nazi lovers,and if they refuse to accept this its very worrying indeed.

As I said at the start of the thread,not my thing at all,but well crafted and very realistic figures.

Absolutely,each to their own.We live in freedom so we can collect just what we like.Also it would be very boring if we all collected the same thing!

These new figures do look very realistic and will make a striking scene when placed together.

Look, these are just historic toy soldiers. Many of us collect individual pieces, and these look fantastic. A toy soldier does not shoot anybody, spread propaganda, or cause revolutions. I for one will purchase this set. I spent 30 years in the U.S. Army, including seven in Special Forces, and think I am old enough to know right from wrong. Just buy what you like. Some people say drink red wine with meat. I happen to like white, so I will drink whatever I want regardless of what people say. Regards, Larry.
