Uniform worn is dated to 1812.
 
Here are some British light dragoons in the Peninsula. This is similar to the type of cavalry versus cavalry scenes I would love to do.

I don't think it has and it is a fine addition. I happen to have a larger version so enjoy the fine detail, something FL could do well no doubt.

Yes probably but they would need to "clean up" the pose of the horse; they don't spread their hind their legs like that in that position really.;)

Indeed, I thought the hind legs are a wee bit over the top... chalk it down to French Romanticism. The painting did arouse a tempest of contradictory opinion during its time ;)

Drummer boy was put on a horse to beat the Prussian pursuit , very dramatic

Ah the restoration of the Quadriga to Berlin , kind of brings a tear to my eye ;) . That is one of my all time favorite paintings from the period . Thanks some real beauties my friend .All the best Gebhard
