Some great Bulge releases!! Stretrcher party, two Ambulances, kneeling firing figures, MP and German prisoner, great stuff for this theatre!!

Another US Truck and passengers just unveiled too

Rob

Well for me another exciting edition of Dispatches with the Bulge releases all being very welcome and a special mention for the new Desert buildings too. Just two small retirements for me, Lord Gort (whose efforts in the Defence of Dunkirk I've recently been reading about) and the Royal Naval communication figure, he'll go nicely on the Landing craft. The Bulge ambulance is limited to 250, am going to want one of those to go with that superb stretcher party.

Bit pi**ed off that its mre WW2 but:eek::(
Collecting is getting dificult, and the 250 of the winter ambulance means a no no for me!:(

Lol they all look good, but that kneeling NCO is a rather ugly figure, and the captured set looks a bit cartoonish?

Once again, lots of beautiful figures and models. And once again, no SOHK, SOE or USN, I'm beginning to feel like the neglected step-child. :( Oh well, maybe next month...

The Mosque/Temple set and Minaret are probably the only things of interest to me this month, but that's good because I'd like to catch up Lighthorsemen, Union Cav and maybe even some Real West.

Is it me, or is unusual to see those Market Garden retirements so early? I feel like they were just announced months ago.

It could be to make way for forthcoming releases, the Polish figures have been out for a while now.

Another month and another pile of releases!!!! Bit more for more all collectors this month. The highlights for me are the BBA strecher party looks very good and useable in so many situations and, the teenage prisoner, if you look at the detail on the facial expression of the german youth its absolutely IMO astonishing.

Nice to see K&C move into the mounted LAH now, we can have the set I have requested for years Sepp dietrich on horseback. (as we know he was a splendid horseman)

Buildings will add another dimension to dio's and some really nice LOJ. Not bad on the disco either FOB took a hit but, means more will be coming through the pipleine and a few more arnhem which, were the ones on the cards to go anyway.

Like the Xmas sets and the arrested Santa gave me a laugh especially being arrested by one of Oliver Hardy's long lost german relatives.

John and Rob,
Thanks. Another forum member called and we used same method to see the retirements before the Despatches were up.
A good mixture of retirements and quite a few this month.
Finally the mysterious French Flagbearer turned up !
I like the WWI Xmas set.
Some more leaders for my collection.
Regards
Brett

I was just admiring the French Flag Bearer is most welcome to complete the Adavance to the Front in 1914..... but his code number is FW084 and the previous figure was Goodbye-ee "A Scottish soldier embraces his sweetheart as he goes off to war" FW073....

So what is planned to fill these 10 spaces ??????????????????

Maybe thats for next month's Dispatches ??????

John

LAH Horsemen look very good....Excellent Detail, well done K/C:)....also like the BBA Truck with US soldiers.....No Winter Tiger yet, no Grey...Someday??;)

Hi Guys,

This must be a record… even for “ARNHEM’44 MAD”…

At 3:36 our new truck and stretcher team are (in his youthful jargon) “Well Cool!”

By 3:50 he’s “pissed off” because it’s more WW2… Collecting is getting difficult and because there’s only 250 Winter Ambulances… it’s a “no no” for him.

Living proof, if any were needed, that not only can you never please all of the people all of the time… you can’t even please one collector for more than several minutes!!!

C’est la vie! C’est la guerre!

Andy, that stretcher team is spot on and will go real well with ambulance and previous walking wounded set. The Bulge releases are a highlight of the collecting year, year in and year out, thanks very much:cool:

Hi Guys,

As we know, now and then, yours truly and our friend Vezzolf do not always see eye to eye.

However, I do appreciate his kind comments on the LAH Horsemen and our BBA truck.

Re the “Winter Tiger” …all will be revealed in the Windy City…in three weeks time…I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Thanks again and best wishes!
Andy C.

Considering what Andy has just said... would all visitors to Chicago pleeeeease take lots of pics!;)
