Dispatches is up! (2 Viewers)

I think a white washed Tiger and a grey version will be able to be stand alone sets and need no add on's to them. The grey version will fit in with the vast majority of K&C figures as would the winter so, extra crew would be nice but, will increase the cost which, is not good.

I hope it does not try to emulate the WSS71 SL should they release one as that IMO seems a backward move for a company which impresses on its customers its innovation.

Chicago will be interesting to see what turns up
Mitch

Andy has said he will not redo old pieces without significant differences between the old and new versions.

Thats good then. I would seyyle for what you call 'Barebones' I don't have one for myself but, having repainted quite a few for collectors recently they are well detailed IMO so, repainting winter or grey changing the two man crew would allow it to remain the same price at worst. Personally I would like to see a Jagdpanther one will come but, its just which manufacturer gets there first

My question is who will come out with a sure fire seller - the Sturmtiger?

How difficult would it be to modify this ambulance so that the rear
doors open up so it can be loaded with at least one litter patient
and one being loaded? Capacity is five litter or eight walking, or
two litter and four walking. Anyone that thinks they can tackle
this please PM me.

Anything can be done - it just depends on how much you want to spend. The situation, from my point of view, is that although the truck appears to be hollow-cast, there is likely something in there that might need to be removed. Then, how complete of an interior do you want? To get a litter patient to lay inside, one will have to purchase either a stretcher bearer set or a K&C Jeep ambulance - the latter would provide a patient and attendant. It will be interesting to see the structure of the vehicle and if it will lend itself to this conversion. It might be kind of fun!

PS - on a side note I remember trying to sleep in the back of one of these during a cold night when I was doing WW2 reenacting. All I really remember is that the bench was hard and the night was chilly!

I meant Jagdtiger not panther. Yes a sturmtiger would be great as its hard to get one of the twelve HB ones. It was my guess for CS Chicago release.

Great set of new releases. The Bulge stuff is nice. I hope the price of the Deuce is correct!:)

Binder001...

The ambulance job is one that I have been asked to do on the RAF ambulance and having looked at this vehicle I believe it to be hollow and would think that it would not be too difficult to get through the doors without causing much problem. Would you want working doors or static? (the guy who contacted me wants both open and static which, is a little easier kitting out the inside is quite straight forward) that would be an interesting conversion. If the guy wants me to do the conversion I will be more than happy to post the pics as the work continues it may help if you convert the US ambo

Based on the Kursk Tiger and HJ Panther, I would agree that a Tiger with two or three half-bodied crew figures is what we will see. Add-on sets too. That would be fine with me and my wallet!:D

jbonzo....

I would stick with a two man crew otherwise it will mean a bit of work opening up the driver of gunners hatches and that will add cost to what is an expensive tank. I would like to see alternative tank crews released so you could mix and match different crews on existing AFV's both german and allied would be great and add extra dimension to sets. Its probably not of interest to many collectors to make it viable but, something I would like to see

I based the three man crew guess on the Tunisian Tiger, those hatches were open and I was surprised that the Kursk Tiger did not have a driver. I would love to see alternative tank crews, for added variety.

The Stretcher Party is just fantastic! It will look great next to BBA022 Walking Wounded, another favorite of mine.

I'm kind of surprised the new Dodge truck doesn't have any snow/frost on it. K&C does this so well along with the whitewashing.

Good set of releases on this months dispatches. Although I just dabble in the BBA series I've already ordered the winter ambulance....dont' want to miss it. That stretcher party sure is a standout, really really well done, best of the batch. K&C really know how to get the poses and emotional feel on their pieces right. I too will add it to BBA 020 which is another of my favourites. Man I've got ambulances on the brain lately, got the RAF K2, DDay medic set, FOB stretcher party and the DDay K2 is on the list!
This month's retirements hit me hard, I've got to stop procarastinating and get that FOB Navy Lewis gunner and the red hatted MP. Also need to get those Polish para's.
LOJ releases are nice as are the buildings but I don't collect those so no harm there. As for the LAH, I'll stick to admiring pictures and others collections as I wouldn't want to display that stuff in my home.
Keep up the great work Andy, everything looks super and the Chicago surprise is intriguing, I know we won't be disappointed. ;)

I think what makes the new medic set so appealing is the fact that apart from great poses we have more than two soldiers carrying the wounded guy. You could imagine all his mates concern and wanting to help get him to the ambo or aid post. Its just a vignette waiting to be done. Highlight of the releases IMO

Oh, I'm willing to pay for it if you are up to it. I''d better order two. I have
the ambulance jeep to cannalibize, but will try to get another one and the
stretcher bearer set. I only do "Medic" so I'll save on all the tanks I don't
buy.:) I see a fantastic diorama John Rosengrant style in the making. I seem
to remember a winter Aid Station tent also. Now to find that again.
And anything else that can be modified. I'll make a list.
Let's keep in touch.

Just got home from a long day at work, and saw all the new K&C WWII releases, these are the days that it's tough not to be able to collect everything you like because I really like the winter WWII sets that were just released as well as the WWII vehicles, great job Andy and co. looks like some great releases this month...Sammy

Hi Guys,

As we know, now and then, yours truly and our friend Vezzolf do not always see eye to eye.

However, I do appreciate his kind comments on the LAH Horsemen and our BBA truck.

Re the “Winter Tiger” …all will be revealed in the Windy City…in three weeks time…I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Thanks again and best wishes!
Andy C.

Sounds Good, Andy:)

Great set of releases but disappointed no new NAPS! Price creep continues, single figs are up a dollar. This really should be called the year of the ambulance with the RAF release and now two versions for the American army! :D

I agree with both you comments about No NAPS and year of the Ambulance.

Now Andy could REALLY make YOU happy by making producing the Flying Ambulance with Dominique Jean Larrey (1766–1842), Napoleon Bonaparte’s chief physician and some staff woking on some wounded!!

Now thats a challenge !!!

:) :)
