Dispatches is up! (3 Viewers)

Great set of releases but disappointed no new NAPS! Price creep continues, single figs are up a dollar. This really should be called the year of the ambulance with the RAF release and now two versions for the American army! :D
aAnd Britains also did a Civil War ambulance so yes to Year of the Ambulance.

I agree with both you comments about No NAPS and year of the Ambulance.

Now Andy could REALLY make YOU happy by making producing the Flying Ambulance with Dominique Jean Larrey (1766–1842), Napoleon Bonaparte’s chief physician and some staff woking on some wounded!!

Now thats a challenge !!!

:) :)

John

Absolutely, it would fill a void in the dio ! ;)

Wundervar Andy! Great releases. My hunch was correct about the WC63 6X6 Weapons Carrier and the WC 54 Ambulance as posted earlier...I expected it to be coming from Figarti though; but guess what...it will blend well with the KC WC50 Weapons Carrier and GMC Deuce & a Half Truck released in 1999/2000?

I am glad I held back on the RAF ambulance. It was tempting but I already have 2 desert and 1 Normandy versions. The WC-54 U.S. Ambulance would look great in an American aifield dio. Now the wait is for an the airfield mat (steel matted...Mark do you get the hint?) and a B-25 Bomber in 1/30. It will not be complete without a Jeep laden flyboys on the way to their planes (I am confident that next after the RAF series, it will be the American flyboys)

A big HSieh-hsieh to you Andy!

Who says that the chicago suprise has to be a tiger 1, why can't it be the awesome jagdtiger or sturmtiger. . Or who says it won't be a tiger 1 and a jagdtiger. This guessing really is intoxicating

Maybe with the prices being up...the ambulance choice was in order?...not to mention guys being hauled away on stretchers!!!

The ambulance is very significant as I can't stop looking at it...I love this stuff!

How difficult would it be to modify this ambulance so that the rear
doors open up so it can be loaded with at least one litter patient
and one being loaded? Capacity is five litter or eight walking, or
two litter and four walking. Anyone that thinks they can tackle
this please PM me.

If the interior is hollowed-out, it would be easy. All you need is to reconstruct the rear doors to make them open and close. The next hurdle will be creating the bulk-head between driver's cab and the litter/ambulatory care section.

It the rear part is a solid chunk of polyresin, that will be tough and next to impossible. You will need a professional craftsman to hollow-out te rear. Adding the accessories in the ambulance interior will be a cake-walk.

I will wait until I receive my order and then I can do a more definitive answer.

While your at it see what it would take to add some big 44" mud swamp tires, dual exhaust and working lights:eek:

Great work as always, Andy. I especially like the Bulge stretcher team; it is very well done, and I look forward to adding it to my collection. The truck looks very impressive as well as do the seated figures. I saw a couple of nice action figures as well in this nicely balanced Bulge release. Thanks and congratulations on a job well done yet again:)

Have fun in Chicago. I wish I could be there, but I can't make it. But I will see you and the team at the 2011 Westcoaster. It will be here before you know it!

Hi Guys,

Re the above… This model is not just a repaint of our latest Tiger—It’s a brand-new sculpt as our friends coming to Chicago will see for themselves.

At present I am waiting for the first paint samples to come back from the tank factory.

Hope this helps, best wishes and happy collecting!

Andy C.

Thanks Andy, the last Tiger came with a wealth of back up figures, do you forsee some for this new Winter version or are you happy with what already been released?

cheers

Rob

Just looked back to see if I missed an announcement with Andy's last post so, this means a brand new sculpt for a Tiger 1 which, is remarkable and would love to see it before the lucky ones at the Chicago show. How about sneak pics??????

It will be interesting to see the paint work more questions late was maybe this time?? full zimmeritt winter normandy???? sounds good though does it not??

It does doesn't it, I'm guessing it'll disappear very quickly indeed as well, can't wait for the pics.

King & Country releases were very impressive - I find myself buying more & more WWII items ...

However,

NAPOLEONIC COLLECTORS UNITE !

We must stand strong for more Napoleonic Releases - We must continue to ask for more, more, more - fight for our French, British, Dutch, Russian, even Prussian (please) K&C Releases !!!

We Napoleonic Collectors need attention too !! :D

Rob...

I meant to say late war in my last post. Looks like an SL to end the year of the Tiger indeed may well be a special tiger. Although now we have to wait three weeks!!!!!

Three weeks, how are a group of ten year olds meant to wait three weeks!!;):D

I can hear my wife now 'Do you really need another Tiger'????. Still I'm on firm ground, she wants the new iphone4!:D

Hi Guys,

This must be a record… even for “ARNHEM’44 MAD”…

At 3:36 our new truck and stretcher team are (in his youthful jargon) “Well Cool!”

By 3:50 he’s “pissed off” because it’s more WW2… Collecting is getting difficult and because there’s only 250 Winter Ambulances… it’s a “no no” for him.

Living proof, if any were needed, that not only can you never please all of the people all of the time… you can’t even please one collector for more than several minutes!!!

C’est la vie! C’est la guerre!
Andy C.

Andy,
very pleased with the releases, especially the Battle of the Bulge one's. Through my belgian distributor I already put a firm order in for: The Stretcher party, the winter ambulance, the teenage prisoner, the fire team and the kneeling officer with bino. Enough stuff for a creative person to make some wonderful vignettes.I already have a few in mind !!!!!!!
Guy

What I really like about the stretcher team is that its a little different, normally they are either two man or four man parties, but this looks more ad hoc as it were, another little bit of realism:cool:.

Rob

Still no Naps & Crusades after a few dispatches :(... my bank account balance remains pristine :D

Rob...

Fair exchange is no robbery. A new Tiger for an i-phone sounds a great compromise.
