  • Marcus,
I love the pics!!! Please post the show pics on the forum...It would be very nice to see.
    Enjoy the remnants of Summer!
    Mike
I also bought the winter Storch. The jury is still out on this one, I don't know if I'm gonna keep it or sell it. I really think its a great piece but I really can't do much with it. So far its a stand alone piece.
Hi Marcus, I got the 88 and love it. It fits in nicely with what I'm doing diorama wise. I actually posted couple of quick pics in the Figarti thread "Just got my 88". The scale of the figures and 88 seem to go well with the K&C pieces I have so I was very satisfied. I also received my winter Pakwagen and posted a couple pics of that is well. Hope all is well.
Hi Ken, I just came back from our big toy soldier show. the Figarti 88 was sold on the first minutes, so I had enough money for my first HOCKER - Sets and some FL (Colbert!). As I am a Wurttemberger, I surely will purchase the upcomings FL Wurttemberger. I have some difficulties with my computer, but when these solved I will try to show some pics of the show. Cheers Marcus
Hi Marcus, just dropped in to see what you're up to. Do you have any new aquisitions? I'm presently waiting for my first FL PRUSSIANS! Then it's the FL British.

    Cheers, Saber
Oh yeah, I should be getting the pakwagen sometime in mid-August along with the special gift. I'll let you know what the special gift is once I get it.
I really hope I like the 88 and prime mover. From all the pictures I've seen it looks excellent! I couldn't find it in the States so I had to go overseas for it and almost paid double of what I would have had to pay in the US. It will be here on Monday so I'm holding my breath after reading your review.
    Hi Marcus,
Well were you one of the lucky ones to snag the Figarti 88? That piece has got to be one of the fastest selling items I have ever seen for any company. Hope everything is going well.

    Take care,
    Joe
Hey Marcus glad to have you as a friend to, yes glossy is also my favourite style love the old toy feel to it! Iv also started buying from the US as it works out a lot cheaper for me :D cheers Craig
    Hi Marcus,

Good to hear from you. Hope all goes well for you at the show:). Do you have a website for your business?

Planning & building my "toy soldier haven" will be taking most of my time it seems but it's an effort that should be well worth it. I will definitely be getting K&Cs new 251, the winter for sure and maybe a summer camo scheme. Right now I plan on picking up the early war German artillery set from K&C and few extra French Napoleonic old Guard figures.

    Cheers,

    Ken
    Hi Marcus,

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, haven't had much time to be online this summer. Still no definite dates for visiting my old stomping grounds in Germany:(. On the bright side most of my time these past few weeks has been spent talking with a contractor to build an additional room on the house to serve as my "Toy Soldier" room. I'm hoping to get work started on it by late July and finish it up by the end of September or beginning of August. Should be about 440 Square feet of additional space for my legions!:) I've even let my acquisitions slip this month:eek:! I plan on remedying that next weekend. How are things going with you? I hope the economy hasn't adversely affected your business. Look forward to hearing from you...and seeing you in the future.

    Cheers,

    Ken
    Hi Hadrian
An excellent source here in the states for picking up older Britains sets like the Madras Cavalry is London Bridge Toys in Pennsylvania. The owner is Ron Rudell and he is very knowledgeable about Britains. I have bought a number of older sets from him. Your
best bet is to phone him during store hours, since he does not use email very much. Here is a link to his website with store hours and phone number. He is a good friend of Richard Walker.

So what do you think of the new releases. I'm glad to see some Luftwaffe in the field. Its a nice change. I think I'm gonna pre order most of the Luftwaffe and ACW figures K&C has put out. Do you have any Figarti products? I was thinking of buying the 88 but I hear people always complaining about pieces that are broken on them. I hate to pay all that money and receive a damaged item.
I chose the winter version but more then likely I'll purchase the summer version as well since I collect both Battle of the Bulge and Dday pieces. I'm also convinced with K&Cs version so I'll probably pass on the CS version.

    Take care,
    Joe
    Hi Marcus,
I only have a few of the CS items so I can't really comment on alot of the merchandise that they have put out. The pieces that I do have seem to fit in nicely with my K&C products. The only gripe I have is I wish the infantry sets were more in line with K&C. I typically display the vehicles but tend to leave the figures boxed up. I plan on buying some of the winter items that CS has coming out in the next month or so. I'll keep you posted on quality.
    Hope all is well,
    Joe
    Hi Hadrian

January is set 320 Our 20th Anniversary Souvenir (Specialty & Printed Goods)
November is set 226 A Public Display (Diamond Jubilee Series)
Like you these Victorian life sets are my favorite.
I own 228 but not 320 but hope to someday. Randy
    Marcus,
Alymer is middle of the pack for me, actually, I like the poses. HOCKER is top-of-the-line and truly the best, but almost above my pay grade. Have you seen Fusilier Miniatures? They have some nice glossy stuff.
    All the Best,
    Mike
    Hi Hadrian

    Glad you like my albums.

The Hocker bandstand set is made to go with the off duty at home set 117 not the Indian version 118. It's pretty pricey so don't know if I will ever get it but it is really nice looking!
