  • Couple of things have come up. First I had a discussion with Nancy. She planned our trip to Hawaii. And I did not sound excited enough to her, nor did I acknowledge the hard work it takes to set up a trip the way she had. After our discussion. No really, it was a discussion. :) It came to me that She needs a chance to be heard and then to acknowledge that she is heard and appreciated. It seems to me that would work well with a lot of our wives and girlfriends. Try it sometime and let me know. ;)

Secondly, I am packing up my trains and soldiers. Boy do I have a lot of stuff. My friends are offering to help all ready. I am truly blessed. A great gf and great friends. Than you:)
All ready we are almost up to 6100 visitors.:D More visitors than posts. ;) I am moving to Nancys' place in San Mateo. :)The place of my hometown.
 I am glad I will no longer going to manage the apartment anymore. I have lived here quite awhile. Packing will not be fun.
Back from California and home in Wenatchee. We had snow wind and bright sunshine today- seems the gods can't decide what season it is. Sorting out my WestCoasster purchases - may need another cabinet or less troops. good to meet you vamp, too bad we were not able to chat more
I have been on this forum for a little over three years now. I can not believe how much it has added to my enjoyment of our hobby. I thank you all for joining in
Holy Toledo!!!! 6,000 visits to this profile page. I really wish more of you would drop a line. Some off the guys I met at the show were teasing me about "rock star popularity". I told Panzer Ace to grow up! I told Beaufighter to just stop it. Honestly it was kind of embarrassing me.
Things to do in San Francisco. Calif. Acadamy of Science is finally re-opened. A large 4 level rain forrest on display. All kinds of butterflies, birds, and amphibians. Went there with Nancy a few weeks ago. It was a mix of old and new so there is a bit of nostalgia for me having been there numerous time growing up.;):D:)
Back to the show/ WC The people being the biggest draw for me as funds were very limited.
I limited my self to some Frontline knights and saracens and an Imperial Around Town figure. Plus the freebies and gifts. I was there also to help the good folks at Sierra. I did at least help them set up early Sunday am. We had dinner with Andy Saturday night at Gullivers. Prime rib for me (medium rare) Yum! Thanks Andy! Do not stay at the Crowne Plaza (thin walls) paid extra for parking($12.00 a night) Buffet not as good as the Marriot. And it was only marginally cheaper and I had to walk over the freeway. Short walk just annoying.
So it was good to meet new faces 4th we should have talked more.
So I am beginning the process of packing and moving. Giving somethings away. Saving somethings for my son and daughter. Trying to get things compacted for living with Nancy. I will be giving notice soon to the owners of the building. I just do not think I can do it anymore. I do not want to have to work when I come home anymore either. That sucks. You get home start to eat and someone has a problem. That is part of the job but it is no fun:eek:
So I will try to do a little bit every day and pack up some trains and soldiers.
I have to say that I really enjoyed myself. I met many manufacturers Bill Hocker, Andy Nielsen, Ken Ossen, Ted Deddens, Edmund Tanfoglio, Brian Levy, and Bob O'Connell. Many others as well. There are ,many knowledgeable
people as well as a few unique and special types who know everything and will tell you ad naseum.
This hobby is about the people as well as the soldiers. The people during the room trading I st and chat with and hours can fly by. I hope I did not bore any of you. I thank you for your hospitality.
There were also members of the forum there whom it was nice to meet or see again. Jason , Marc, and Carlos Good to see you. 4th and Al Fischer it was nice to meet you. There are some lurkers who need to sign up that I met. You know who you are.
Great things to see at the show . New items as well as old stand-bys. Sadly I was not able to buy all the things I wanted to. Odly enough some guys gave me stuff for free. So thank you Andy, Marc, Mike, and Rick:)
Well some more money came in today a check I was hoping to get and an unexpected chek from the Hospital that saved my life. go figur. I am not going to ask too many questions;)
Well, I am leaving for the show tomorrow am. It is a six hour drive for me. I procrastinated on getting a room so I will be at the Crown Plaza right down the street. I am taking the computer with me but will have to see about internet access. I will also take the camera but Carlos takes better pictures than myself. Should be great fun seeing all of you who make it. I will be bringing updates asap.
Yep. Wife and I flying down on Thursday. Will be at Marriott until Sunday and then off to the desert.
I continue to improve though slowly it seems to me. I am looking forward to going to the show this weekend. I will be totally on my own while on the drive to and from.So there is alittle concerne there but not terribly so. I wonder about the level of work I am doing. I wonder if the level of attention is going to get better. I have always been a little forgetful I just wonder if it has gotten worse. Nancy seems to think that I am normal. I just am not sure. I need to start exercising again as well. Nancy is on me a lot about that.
I will be going to work today. Worked on the apartment yesterday for a few hours. So thank you for checking in on me and take care of yourselves and your loved ones.:)
On the Armor the Westcoaster is coming up - you could set up for the room trading or you might still be able to get a table for Sunday
So I have a question for you guys.... I just packed all of my Armor up or most of it. Now what to do with it? Should I sell it?EBAY? the WC? Here? I have a Hetzer and a Krupp truck, The gun is missing on the tank and a rider is missing on the Krupps. Also the Krupps truck was damaged I repaired it. Then an AK23 was broken then repaired and repainted in Panzer grey. Then I have tons of Armor in the WS series and a winter Tiger from CS and a Winter and summer NMA Sturmtiger which is winter camoed. Also RA13,14 and some BBAs All told more than 36 pieces. Let me know what you think.....
5715 visits? C'mon you guys at least say hello! Is it the name? What brings you here to my profile? I do try to be interesting but that is 50 visits since last night!
:)Good morning gentle fiends. The pbs show was very nice and comforting to a recovering catholic like myself. A thought; a gratitude list keeps me just that grateful. Nancy was reading that a positive attitude promotes well being. So stay happy and be healthy!:)

I should state that I have a goal of heling my fellow collectors in their pursuit of happiness:D
