  • Hi Vamp!

It is great to hear from you! You asked if anything was new in toy soldier land and I have to give that a bit of thought. I have made a few acquisitions lately, but nothing of earth shattering importance. I am anticipating the release of the Britains Matte Delhi Durbar line and I am guarding my budget so I might afford that beautiful Jaipur Elephant. More and more of my display space is being consumed with Delhi Durbar figures.

I hope you are getting settled into your new digs. Moving, especially when you have a zillion small figures, can be the pits!

How is Wrongway? Gus and the boys have been asking about him. I think they have set aside a special treat for him when he next visits Kansas.

When you find the time, let me know what you are currently collecting.

    Warmest personal regards,

    Pat
Found the paints I like to do more work. Almost done at the shop too. Got lots of little projects to do. Gotta re-arrange the bedroom some more. I am trying to get to my work space.

Just a thought, tell the someone special in your life that you love them today. There are no guarantees in life. I believe in telling that to people every day when I am on the phone with my son or daughter or father. Whomever.
Quite well thank you. I am thinking of getting a degree in American History and perhaps specialize in the ACW if such a thing is possible. You have been doing a wonderful job on both your series. I would love to see more of the FIW too. The Conte page is getting exciting. And I would like to do some prototype painting for him. (nice wish) Perhaps they are intimidated by our brilliance. LOL
    Hi Michael.
How the devil are you old son? Real pleased you're still following the blue and the gray struggle in pictures as the last two chapters were a feeble attempt to introduce some human poignancy instead of the usual gore and mayhem-not sure though whether we have gathered any new conscripts since we last spoke-have noted a couple of new TF members have expressed they are interested in collecting ACW figures-but they appear to be a bit shy to talk to me or ye-no idea why.
Take care old son and keep well

Memorial Day If you know any vets seriously, say hello and thank them for their service. They did it for us even if they do not know us. I constantly think of our wars ACW, WWI, WWII. Don't want to forget Viet Nam or the current fracas either. They all need our prayers. Good night and good luck.
The guy who made the mould is a bit of an eccentric sort of guy. So now he won't make any more of those figures. He made some of those naughty ladies I got into trouble for posting over Christmas and some lovely little disney figures for the girls

That Curassier Iasked you about is a Trophy copy.
We made a mould from a Trophy figure and then made a whole lot of figures with slightly changed arms and heads.
They are great for filling up my ranks
My tanks for the most part have ended up back where they came from. Southbaytoys on ebay is selling them on consignment a little at a time. It is sad to see them go. But go they must. I am going to keep some of the winter pieces and try to stay with the BOB. AZN, and ACW. Then there is the LAH stuff and now the Berghof. Hard to limit one desires and what appeals to ones' self isn't it? Regardless of the material things it is important to remember the important things in life like your loved ones. Thank you for dropping by. Feel free to say hello and add your 2p worth.
;)Yeah it is more fun this way oops sorry about the drink. Watch the elbow;)

I have opened up some new theads at the Bloody Mary Lounge.
Hello "Kilted One of the Night". I'm visiting friends this evening and stopping by for a short visit. Very popular place. Standing room only.

I am working hard and looking for Trophy sets.
I have a few leads but everything takes so long to reach me here in Africa
    Keep well
Sorry Michael for not getting back to you earlier and all's well at thei end and hope like wise at yours. Hope all's been going well with your move and that your pretty much done with it. Waiting for the three new single Zulu Warrior figures by WBritain to make their appearance but passing on the hand to hand sets and Chard and Bromhead great sets and figures and looking forward to WBritain's next batch of figures. Great paint job with your Conte Spartans they where very well done. That's it for this AM chat at you later. Bet you enjoyed watching Zulu Dawn now all we need is the Conte figures to make their appearance. Take care my Lord General and be well.
My aunt and uncle are celebrating their 50th anniversary this weekend. 50 years how many get to say that? They are my God-parents. So they have been all around all my life. It will be nice to see family again. I tend to kind of stay on the sideline at family functions. But I manage to have a good time. My moms' brother will be there as well. My mom has been gone now for ten years or more. I still miss her and they do too. So this mothers' Day, if you are still lucky enough to have your Mom tell her you love her.

7,000 visits and over 6,000 posts. Who is having fun now Baby?
Sure thing! I'm writer and once I wrote a stand-up comic sketch for a comediant. I only remeber one of the jokes though: What's the Brazilian definition of a president ? It's when a guy who can't run his own life, run everyone else's!
I still laugh of it after all these years!
    All the best,
    Uthred/Marcelo
It's very easy to have fun around here, Michael! My wife watches me laughing while surfing the forum and keeps asking me "what's so funny about toy soldiers?" As I've said before, this is a forum of comediants who happen to collect toy soldiers!
    All the best,
    Uthred/Marcelo
Thank you for befriending me Michael, and welcome my vampire friend! I'll keep an eye on my own neck and plenty of garlic available when I'm around here if you don't care...
    ;-)
    Cheers...

Hey Michael, Thanks for the congrats. My avatar is an original Conte since I did it before the plastics were released. However, it could just as well have been one of yours since when I mix them together you can't tell them apart. What do you know about changing bases on metal figures BTW? I have some nice Orylon NAPs that I was hoping to rebase with some extra FL bases. The trick seems in removing the original Orylons without damaging them. What do you think?
