hi - I will post photos when completed. Making them as 18th Hussars 1812 Penninsular War period after viewing some period illustrations.
I need to assess them whether to add a haversack and water canteen to the troopers as I have some spares which would suffice, but then would need to add cross...
hi,
just assembled the British Hussars set of 5 mounted figures. The shabraque may hint at a period just prior to Waterloo 1812-14 as seen in illustrations from Pennisular War where the 15th and 18th Hussars wore it on the horse. By Waterloo one source says that it was used by officers only...
hi check out Hannants website in UK as they list under future releases in 1/32nd scale:
a boxed set of French Imperial Old Guard 1805-1815 in full dress in action poses including officer and eagle bearer.
15 figures in 8 poses
set 32022
looks like a good set to paint up
there are also...
Hi
has anyone found a load of old figures in a loft or attic or yard sale/carboot.
I used to find lots many years ago,but not much since the late 1990's when they seemed to dry up and then this week a good find came up out of the blue with a hefty load of early 1970's Britains Deetail figures...
cant see any 1/32nd for 2018 - just a few in 1/72nd reissues
got a set of 7th Cavalry picked up cheap at a toy fair a few years ago which needs painting.
Hi
anyone heard if Airfix have plans to reissue the 1/32nd sets of figures?
Thinking more of the 4 x Waterloo sets and 7th Cavalry maybe - possibly???
I think they issue details on their website in early January.
cheers
Dave
Been busy assembling some of these Napoleonic sets and mid way through painting the Brit infantry.
These are class and multi poses arms and heads for variety.
Just got some of the cavalry off Steve Weston and will post pics when painted up
cheers
Dave
These sets are getting to be very detailed.
Just assembled the 17th Lancers set of 5 cavalry from the 1879 Zulu War and they will paint up well.
They are semi-kit sets with choices of arms and weaponry and you can have the heads and arms in different positions to create variety. Some of the...
Been away from posting for a while - just been looking at the XForce website and amazed at the detail involved especially the French Line Lancer mounted cavalry and the mounted French Dragoons. Will have to get these to paint up.
Hi
any news for new releases in 1/32nd plastics for 2016. There were rumours about hat 1/32nd Austrians maybe/possibly?
I am not too bothered myself as still have plenty of figures to paint to keep me going all year round, but a few new releases keeps things interesting and buoyant.
Cheers
Dave
Hi - just viewed list for 2016 - no 1/32nd figure set reissues - cannot grumble as loads of figures out there these days - not like the early 1990's when I struggled to find figures in general - pre internet etc...thankful to Plastic Warrior magazine though!
I remember painting a Kinder Egg...
Hi
in some ways there are other Airfix type figures out there via A Call to Arms as the sculpts are very much in the same style maybe by the same sculptor?
I am thinking of the Zulus, British 24th Foot and the ACW sets. I know many of these sets have 4 x poses per box but there are 12 x Zulu...
Hi
Airfix website shows news of their range for 2016 to be launched on Monday 16th November - hope they have more 1/32nd sets - Napoleonics and 7th Cavalry maybe?
Cheers
Dave
