The Thomas Gunn Roman Onager is the most accurate version of Roman Torsion Artillery made to date in 1/30 scale. Most models are based
upon medieval catapults that used a cup to hold the projectile. The Roman Onager used a sling; which increased the range by 30%
The K&C Roman Ballista is one of the most accurate in 1/30 scale and the crew is excellent too. The Ballista and crew will fit into the top of the Roman Fort tower if positioned to fire to either side.
Figures from the Trojan War would work as Sea People. Archaeology has connected the Mycenaean Greeks with the Philistines who are considered to be members of the Sea Peoples confederation.
I have been to the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo and the JJD Drakkar has many of the features of the Oseberg Drakkar on display there. A very accurate rendition!
One of TSC's best models! 2 turrets is an amazing addition as is the damaged track and bogies. The reloading set is great with this piece; which is sitting on my desk as I write this missive.
Great review of the JJD Kingtiger. The comparison photos with the FL Kingtiger are very interesting. The JJD KT is correct in the location of the idler and the presents of the turret bevel; which is missing in the FL example. The colors are also superior in accuracy. The JJD KT sets a new...
The Panzer Jager IV and Jagdpanther crews wore Fieldgrau. Figarti, JJD, Honor Bound and King and Country all supplied figures with their Panzerjager in Fieldgrau; they will be interested to learn they were in error!
The Nashorn was mobile artillery and the crew should be wearing field grey not black. The Figarti Nashorn crew were in the correct field grey uniforms. Late in the war crews wore whatever was available so mixed uniform colors were not uncommon.
ED did a great job with the Tiger I and II. The ED Panzers display well with Figarti Panzers and are the same exact scale.
The KT also has metal tracks and the details are accurate; the idler is located correctly plus the turret side has the correct bevel at the turret lower edge.
I have the Eagle Design Kingtiger and it is a true 1/30 scale. I display it with Figarti Panzers and figures from W. Britains, Kronprinze etc. I posted a photo of it with figures up thread.
Superb model! Exceeds all previous 1/30 scale KT models in the level of detail and accuracy. The opening hatches add great value in display flexibility. John Jenkins has done their research and the result sets a new standard of quality for this iconic Panzer!
TCS Panzers are 1/28 scale as are the figures. K&C and TCS WWII figures are also 1/28 or 66mm from top of base to top of head typically. I mix all three makers figures with my TCS panzers. I recently posted photos of the TCS Tigers I and II with TCS and K&C figures.
War Park figures will be compatible with FL, Figarti, Thomas Gunn, Eagle Design and Honor Bound armor.
War Park figures will work well with WB, Kronprinz and FL figures.
The Figarti Panther G was the first 1/30 scale panther to exceed the quality and detail of the Honor Bound Panther A.
The Figarti Panther G is equivalent in quality to the FL Panther G and they are the same scale.
