STAR TREK---writer Mark L. Smith (THE REVENANT) commented on the now-cancelled STAR TREK movie he and Quentin Tarantino were working on, “They just called me and said, ‘Hey, are you up for it? Do you want to go? Quentin wants to hook up.’ And I said, ‘Yeah.’ And that was the first day I met Quentin, in the room and he’s reading a scene that he wrote and it was this awesome cool gangster scene, and he’s acting it out and back and forth. I told him, I was so mad I didn’t record it on my phone. It would be so valuable. It was amazing.
Then just we started working. I would go hang out at his house one night and we would watch old gangster films. We were there for hours… We were just kicking back watching gangster films, laughing at the bad dialogue, but talking about how it would bleed into what we wanted to do
Kirk’s in it, we’ve got him. All the characters are there. It would be those guys. I guess you would look at it like all the episodes of the show didn’t really connect. So this would be almost its own episode. A very cool episode. There’s a little time travel stuff going on. There’s all this other… it’s really wild.”
The Tarantino movie resembles the plot of the original STAR TREK episode "A Piece Of The Action".
KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON---John Lithgow has joined the cast of the Martin Scorsese movie that includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
HALLOWEEN---James Jude Courtney, who played Michael Myers in the 2018 movie, commented on a deleted scene, "There’s a scene that we shot for the ending of 2018 that we didn’t use. It was a big fight scene between Jamie and I. In that fight scene, and keep in mind, we’re doing 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 takes of things sometimes. So the scene where I’m holding a blade down like this and I throw her around and she swings the rifle like a baseball bat and I was like 'Oh *****. This isn’t gonna be good.’ She hit it, the knife, and I was like ‘well that was a good shot.’ 30 takes and she never missed one. 30 takes. And she swung it like she was going for the fence."
WES ANDERSON---Margot Robbie has joined the cast of the untitled Wes Anderson movie cast that includes Bill Murray, Adrien Brody and Tom Hanks.
MORBIUS---director Daniel Espinosa accidentally mentioned that Tom Hardy has joined the cast, “When you look at the schedule and read names like Michael Keaton, Jared Leto, Tom Hardy, then it feels cool and very exciting.”
THE ORVILLE---Seth MacFarlane posted that Season 3 is finished and hopes for additional seasons, And that is a wrap on season 3 of The Orville! Thank you to our incredible cast and crew for all their tireless and brilliant work, and I sincerely hope this is not the last time we all go to space."
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2---Idris Elba will provide the voice of Knuckles the Echidna in the sequel.
THE WHITE LOTUS---HBO renewed the series for Season 2.
