I feel for you too. I bent over to pick my shoes and my back went out. I had to crawl to the kitchen table to get upright. It has been a week and a half, but I can walk without pain again. It happens to me about every eight months or so.

Going out on a limb here, but do the old Conte play sets or plastic WWII soldiers pop up at the show??...Sammy

I bought a huge collection back in July; about 30 Conte, Barszo and CTS playsets, along with about 500 boxed and bagged plastic sets from Conte, IMEX, AIP, Italieri, HAT, CTS, Airfix, Marx, Matchbox, Barszo and Revell just to name a few.

The playsets are going fast, but I've got a lot of boxed Conte sets, also have a lot of the blister carded GI's as well.

So to answer your question; yes..................

I am on the phone with Hans as I draft this post - can't wait to see everybody! Looks like Hans, Brad and I are going to form the gimpy brigade and limp around Chicago for a couple of days!:smile2:
 
Looks like it will be just you and Hans as I've decided not to attend.
 
Not sure if this was posted but is the Friday night dinner (Bahamma Breeze) within walking distance from the Hyatt?? or does the hotel offer shuttle service to the dinner location??
 
Not a walk I'd want to take. Last year people did take the hotel shuttle. I took an Uber there and then after, rode back with them on the shuttle
 
Sammy, usually you can hitch a ride with people. There is also the shuttle (a bus) that takes people there.

I remember the one year Pete proposed he & I walk while Shannon got a ride......I vetoed that idea! We then took a cab.
There are no sidewalks all the way there so not the safest walking route either.
If you go to the front desk just ask them about a shuttle. Bet you might find a few others going as well!

Paul is all alone in providing return transportation entertainment this year -- who will be helping him out on his TS Follies routine? :)

If I am not working that day, I will be able to give at least 3 people a ride from the hotel to the breeze.

He will be on the fifth floor, where he normally is. You can find his room number on the guide available on the tables as you get off the elevator.

He's the only dealer at the show who brings a lot from every company, not just dribs and drabs.
