It's not how much you spend but how you spend what you have. Teams like the Cardinals always seem to spend wisely.

To further prove your point, more fun with numbers (or no fun for me): The Giants have the highest payroll in MLB for their 25 man roster at $152,711,797 while the Oakland A's have the 26th highest at $51,971,216. The Giants are 63-66 while the A's are 77-52. The A's highest paid player is Khris Davis at $10.5 mil, the Giants have 8 players who make more than that. Khris Davis has 39 HRs and 103 RBIs. Buster Posey is the Giants highest paid player at $22 mil and he will finish the season with 5 HRs and 40 RBIs. Ouch.

Same thing in DC. We're on the list at almost $136 million and the team will be lucky to finish .500, having been outplayed by the Phillies ($91.6 mil) and the Braves ($66.6 mil). No bang for the buck in DC this year. -- Al

Al...I saw that...I owned a restaurant for 27 years...I would of loved to sell $30 pancakes...how about that $42 salad...must be nice to be rich...so you won't be going there huh...^&grin...?

Mike, I seriously doubt I will ever see 'the land of milk and honey' firsthand, much less ever pay $10 for a glass of cranberry juice.{eek3} -- Al
 
It is at the Beverly Hills Hotel so everything will be more expensive, plus I think he can afford it.

but it's probably the same batter that I-Hop and Denny's uses...
and if not...

Strange, and expensive ambiance, IMO. For instance, the ambiance at Casa Al is much lower key, and the pancakes cost $1 per half dozen. It suits me just fine, thank you.:wink2:^&grin -- Al

Will do, but understand I don't do fancy pancakes with different additives like fruit or chocolate chips. I'm strictly old school, just butter and Log Cabin syrup.^&cool -- Al

I could eat mulch if it had enough butter and syrup on it...

my dad used to hate broccoli...
til I sauteed some in garlic and butter...
 
Nats don’t look like they’re too with it although who can blame them.
