2020-2021 Hot Stove League (3 Viewers)

Yeah, maybe if he's lights out, the Orioles won't lose 100 games.

The Red Sox lost 2 out of 3 to the YAAAnkees, totally embarrassing to lose 2 out of 3 to a AAA line up due to COVID.

They are scuffling now, losers of 7 of their last 10, the Rays and their $47.27 payroll are .5 games back, next are the Jays who may very well be the second best team in the AL behind Houston.

The Red Sox have way overperformed, they are in the process of crashing back to earth, I think the Jays win the Division, the Rays get one WC, the A's get the other.............................oh well, fun half of baseball anyway here in Boston.

Speaking of over-performing, the Giants and Dodgers met last night as the two teams with the best records in MLB for the first time since 1962.

The Giants crushed them, 7-2.

The Cleveland Guardians..🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, that's a great name and a big win for the PC/woke crowd. What are they guarding Cleveland from, an invasion from those invading hordes from the Great White North? Should have just reverted to the Spiders and been done with it. -- Al

I like Spiders better than the Guardians 😄😄

I'm not sure I get the PC Woke reference but Guardians are the statues outside the stadium on the Hope Memorial Bridge and symbolize progress and transportation. That may not mean a lot to non Clevelanders but it apparently has significance in Cleveland.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think so!!!! That's the best name they could come up with??...I understand the Redskins name may offend someone but Indians?? What am I missing here??

What you are missing is in case you haven't noticed, woke white people in this country have taken it upon themselves to be offended for the actual group that SHOULD be offended and could give two ****s.

If you polled Native Americans and asked them if the team name Indians offends them, 99.99% would say no, they are more offended that they had their land stolen from them, kicked off of it, thrown into reservations. They worry more about high unemployment and alcoholism than the name "Indians."

The definition of irony; the Indians were originally called the Spiders, they changed the name as a TRIBUTE to one of they star players, who was an American Indian.............so they changed the name to honor him, not to insult Indians.

"The name "Indians" originated from a request by club owner Charles Somers to baseball writers to choose a new name to replace "Cleveland Naps" following the departure of Nap Lajoie after the 1914 season. It was a revival of the nickname that fans gave to the Cleveland Spiders while Louis Sockalexis, a Native American, was playing for the team.

The Chiefs, Braves, Blackhawks are next.

Mark it down now.

When the Cleveland Naps changed their name to the Indians in 1915, the franchise reportedly did so to honor Sockalexis.[SUP][11][/SUP] The Indians' official media guide says that the owners solicited sportswriters to ask fans for their favorite nickname, and the name Indians was chosen by a young girl who wrote to one of the sportswriters whose column requested suggestions. She specifically mentioned Sockalexis and his heritage. Sockalexis had died two years earlier.

One in ten Native Americans suffer from and die of alcoholism, their unemployment rate is the highest in the country at just over 10%.

A sin, it sickens and disgusts me.

This is their land, their country.

After being no hit through 6 and down 4-0 going into the 8th, the Red Sox score 5 runs and win the game, taking 3 out of 4 from the Yankees.

Now there are rumblings that Boone will be fired; PLEASE GOD no.....................he's the best thing for RS fans right now.

They’ve said they’re not firing Boone, that it’s up to the players.

There are rumors Scherzer may be traded; hopefully not in the NL.

I've noticed all to well, while our Government demands removal of Statues from Columbus to Lee and everyone in-between, We have to erase Dr. Suess books, fix Mr. Potato head, Syrup bottles and on and on!!!!! It doesn't end, the Cowboys were a band of thieving outlaws back in the day is Dallas going to change thier name?? The Steelers promote fossil fuels, can't stand that..gotta go....don't get me started on the Raiders those murderers!!!! Seriously I understand the Cleveland Indians mascot was a bit goofy looking, but how about keeping the name and fixing the logo??...but that's probably not politically correct enough.

Baseball is a funny, funny game.

When the Yankees got Stanton from Miami for next to nothing, man where they loaded; him, Judge, Sanchez, they looked unstoppable.

Fast forward to this year; Sanchez is hot garbage, Judge is 29 and can't stay healthy and Stanton.................my God, he's toast, stick a fork him him............and the Yankees are stuck with him for SEVEN more years.

Judge will be a free agent in two years; what do you do then, he'll be 31 and if he can't stay healthy now.................

ALL SIT!!

Gee, what a shame.

I consider myself to be a dedicated Giants fan but I can honestly say, night after night, as I watch highlights and read the box scores I have no idea who makes up SF’s roster.

They keep winning so I better get to know them. Fast.

Nats announced that everyone but Soto is available. At nine games out in the loss column winning the division looks daunting.

That just leaves the Phillies and the Braves.

Nats are toast, and have been since the debacle against SD when they blew an 8-0 lead and lost 9-8. Have gone 3-11 since that backbreaker, and 6-16 in July, overall. Just a complete collapse. The SP, once their main strength, never got off the ground and has been a shambles all year, outside of Scherzer. I would be surprised if the SS Turner is being made available and along with Soto, will be the core to rebuild. As they say at dinnertime, "Time to eat, come and get it!" and as they say in baseball, "Wait till next year!" -- Al

The Giants are in the running for Scherzer, while I lament the Nat’s fans losing him I can’t help but be excited about the prospect of seeing him in orange and black.

He wants to play for a contender and on the WC so the NL West teams have the edge. I prefer not to see him there and in the AL; Red Sox, Jays and Astros are are also possibilities.

Yankees got the Rangers best player...
Gallo is really gonna help them...
great bat with an outstanding arm on defense,,,

I'm guessing with their dismal record...
the Rangers have thrown in the towel on 2021

If Max goes, SF is a good place for him. He has the right to veto any trade but has indicated that he would like the west coast if possible. -- Al
