2020-2021 Hot Stove League (1 Viewer)

Oh no Sammy, that is not true, I was merely pointing out that there has been a team that came back from down 0-3.

I feel truly sorry for all the Yankee fans that had to witness that defeat, I hope they are all ok and doing well.

That was one of the most enjoyable series (without my Orioles) that I can remember, I remember how the Yanks won game 3 in a blow out and we're so sure it would be a,easy sweep...🤣🤣.

Yeah, game three was a massacre, 19-8 on a Saturday night, the local Dedham Toy Soldier Show was that Sunday and a dealer from NY gave it to me good when we were setting up for the show.

I saw him again at Hackensack in early November after the RS came back, won the series and went on to win the WS.

He didn't give it to me good then.

Funny that.

And I was very polite to that gentleman, did not rub it in or gloat, he has feelings too and we need to respect other peoples feelings, some people treat sports like life and death vs the toy box of life, which is what they are in the end.

Does your life improve if the Ravens win a Super Bowl? Is it any worse if they lose?

No to both of those questions.

Agreed; it's a temporary high, you feel great for several days, then life gets back to normal.

Yeah, sensitive and woke is here to stay.

It's 2021 afterall.

Sensitive and woke? God help us all. Come on, comet. -- Al

Why does Fenway Park have to keep the AL East standings up on the back wall??🤔...get tired of seeing the Orioles record😥

Sammy, no hiding from that record. Gotta be better in 2022. Want to see some of that young talent come through. -- Al

Once again I hope for better days as I seem to say this every Spring, but maybe 2022 will be different 🙏🏻

Agreed; they need to take down those standings, that's highly insensitive towards Orioles fans, not to mention Jays fans who only finished one measly game out of the WC, and Yankees fans as it reminds them of a game they lost, and Rays fans as it reminds them they had the best record in the AL and are now out.

I'm heading down to the stadium now to picket and demand those standings come down.

Think of the children.

**** sure insensitive!!! Fight the power George!!

Dodgers saved their butts tonight but it was close. Never figured Atlanta to be this tough for the Dodgers. -- Al

Wow...game tied 2-2 Boston pitcher in the top 9th throws a perfect breaking ball for a third strike and Ump calls it a ball😳😳😳 next thing you know it's 9-2 Stros..🤬

Yes, the Dodgers were a beaten team on the way out, but Bellinger's blast was like a lightning strike. Betts is the only guy on the entire team playing up to form. Both Turners are stinking up the playoffs.

Yep. Trea Turner looks totally lost at the plate, as in, no clue. He hasn't exactly shined in any of his post-season series and was a big bust in the 2019 WS, hitting only .161. He needs to come up a bit larger. -- Al

I'm happy for all the Astros fans that their team was gifted that non call.

If the Astros go on to win the series, they should build a statue in front of the stadium for Laz Diaz.

He was calling strikes ALL NIGHT LONG on the corners, a PERFECT back door breaking ball that was strike 3 and he calls it a ball.

But hey, them's the breaks, that's baseball.

C'est la Vie, C'est la Guerre.

It's only a game, this morning the sun actually came up.

Home-plate umpire Laz Diaz has missed 21 ball-strike calls tonight, according to @ESPNStatsInfo
. That is the most of any umpire this postseason. The green dot in the upper RH corner is the Eovaldi curveball that would've ended top of the ninth with the score 2-2.It is now 9-2.

But hey, it's baseball them's the breaks, C'est La Vie, C'est La Guerre.

I heard MLB is bringing Enrico Pilazzo in today to call balls and strikes.

(Naked Gun reference)..................

You must have found your Inner calm because I was pissed and my team isn't even playing!!! That was about the best looking breaking ball tossed all night and was perfect, even the pitcher was walking off the mound....oh well, maybe Karma well play for the Sox tonight as they certainly got screwed on the call last night.

Oh no Sammy, that's not true, he missed 21 calls last night, 10 for the Astros, 11 for the Red Sox, so they got one extra blown call in their favor.

Them's the breaks, these things always even out.

You can't get upset, the Red Sox have gotten calls throughout the year so C'est La Vie, C'est La Guerre.

We all need to be calm, cool and collected when it comes to sports, it's only a game, life goes on.

Think of the children.

I congratulate the Astros and especially my favorite Astro, Altuve, that cute little fella, you what to just pick him up and hold him in your arms and pinch his little cheeks.

If the Red Sox win tonight, yah.

If the Red Sox lose tonight, drats.

Life goes on.

The sun will come up tomorrow and another day will be here.

It's all good.

Life is beautiful.

Every day is a gift.

I'm puzzled at whatever genius has scheduled the Dodger games to start after 9PM EST when they played in Atlanta meaning the games ended after midnight but then scheduled yesterday's game at Dodger stadium to begin at 2PM PST on a weekday. Amazing. The players were blinded by the sun for the first five innings of the game. Half the crowd was likely stuck in LA weekday traffic.
