I got this piece at Christmas and it's a real stunner. Your lighting there looks great. Shows up the paintwork lovely

Thanks.
Yes, I saw your photo and it was the reason I purchased this set. {sm4}

Wah! I'll ask John for commission 😂

I'm going to have to take a low-light 'moody' shot now to compete with yours 😳

Very artistic shot

About the bed, it is the only spare now in the house. Library is overrun by shelves of books then more books, and wifes sewing room is crammed with most of the fabric made in the last 10 years.

If you have a wife or dog that sometimes snore, I have both, then you can understand the bed in here.

Completely understand.^&grin

I particularly like this photo and the placement of the figures.

I have to add that JJD's promotional pics could stand an upgrade. The company makes some beautiful models, but the pics RARELY do them justice. Collectors want to see what it is that they are considering for their collections, agreed?:)

Totally agree Moe. These days only the fortunate few live within striking distance of real shops that carry any toy soldiers let alone those from a wide range of manufacturers and eras. There are shows but again these usually involve a hike of epic proportions to reach. That leaves the internet as the main marketing and distribution channel. Whether you look at a product in a retailer display and buy online or vice versa the quality of images online is paramount. The cost of data storage has fallen dramatically over the past few years and the quality / vfm of even very modestly priced digital cameras is so high there is no obvious reason for webshop images to be poor. For some manufacturers the best photos of their product appear in this most excellent forum. That shouldn't be. I know there is a cost to bringing websites up to scratch but if your marketing is poor you will have a poor market. All you need is an IKEA cabinet and an autofocus camera 😉

I'm not a tank collector, but decided to get one in anticipation of what John might produced to be on, in and around this tank. I do have a lot of AFVs but it is the soldier that most interest me.

The side skirts appear to be aluminum and all the grates look to be photo etched.

Typical muted JJD paint that we all like for realism.
