It wasn't so long ago that JJD manufactured but a single Fokker D.VII. That changed in the blink of a collector's of eye when not one, but four, new Fokker models were released. Apart from being something of a shock to my pocket book, I admit finding myself somewhat overwhelmed in terms of displaying them all.:redface2:

The red-winged Udet example found its way onto stand in the curio, but I'm afraid that the others have languished in their crates until today. I decided to take them out so that I could take some pics of the excellent new replicas and most of my German pilots (MvR and Buddecke were scrubbed for the mission;)).

Some pictures of my Fokker D.VII and German pilots:

I'm really posting this last pic to help illustrate the great challenge of displaying models in a fairly large scale like 1/30. The mat that I'm using above is a full, three-feet wide and the backdrop is one full meter. However, If my lens crept a centimeter or so, left or right, I ran out of either mat or backdrop. In short, model airplanes eat up display real estate like crazy. And there's the great difficulty of setting up a scene like this.

Thanks for looking,

-Moe

What a knock out set of photos Moe - everything just superb :salute::

A beautiful scene and photos !!!
While each airplane by itself is a great piece, together they look terrific and I especially like that you populated the scene with so many figures.
Great work :salute::

Just quality product Moe. Agree the big challenge is keeping the scene within the terrain mat and backdrop. A centimetre either way with mine reveals a pool table. Your planes would have to be arranged very carefully to make this scene possible. Well done. Robin.

Moe, this is superb work. Shows all aspects of the scene to great advantage and the little vignettes around each aircraft is fantastic. A very imaginative use of the varied JJD figures, vehicles, and other accessories. Just plain fun to look at. And the line up of all those coffin-nosed D-7's makes for a very impressive show of might. ^&cool -- Al

Moe, you really captured the feel of a busy aerodrome. The aircraft are beautiful and expertly photographed. Outstanding dio. Chris

Very nice dio and collection of warbirds Moe.

Some magnificent flying machines you have there Moe! They display really well with the mat and backdrop too, thanks for sharing.^&grin

Absolutely wonderful photographs that continue to spur me on to try and take better pictures of my JJD pieces.

A huge round of applause for this great thread 🤝🤝🤝🤝

After a second look, you also have a number of sold out pieces that I REALLY want. Very jealous.

Thanks Roy. As I've mentioned in the past, I often don't buy sets 'till I've seen your pics here on the forum. You've sold a ton of product for JJD!

Thanks again,

-Moe

WoW fantastic diorama have you make.

Thanks Conrad. I started out doing mult-model displays with my own design of "tinker-toy" biplanes when I was a five-year-old. I could cobble together six of my rendition of a Nieuport out of a single, large set!

Thank you, Robin. I really admire your displays of your marvelous collection. More than anything else, I've noted how much you enjoy yourself in the process of it all. IMO, you appear to be collecting for all the right reasons.:)

Thank you, Mike. We've got a lot in common, as collectors, particularly the extent to which we're hooked on Jenkins' TS!

Thank you both, Al and Chris, for putting up with me. Y'all are both on to "yours truly," in that you both realize that I'm really a model airplane collector who's haunting a TS-forum. I sincerely appreciate you both for being so welcoming and open to my perspectives.

Great scene Moe. Those are beautiful aircraft.

Thanks Duke! I absolutely adore your model airplane displays and your willingness to incorporate other scales into them, particularly 1/32. The practice opens up all sorts of avenues to you and removes all manner of limitations and constraints. Keep up the good work!

Thank you gentlemen for your VERY kind and generous words regarding my frankly limited photography efforts. All I can guarantee in that regard is that I'll keep trying! :redface2:
