Its a very warm bright sunny day here in south central Wisconsin. I thought I would try taking some photos of my WB ACW mounted cavalry figures ouside which I haven't done before . . . . Here they are . . . .

Very nice Mike, the natural light helps the photos a lot I think. My favourite is the dispatch rider. I can sense his urgency to get to his destination without coming under fire. Is he a regular stock figure or one of Ken's conversions? Either way very nice indeed.

Thank you Scott. The dispatch rider is a stock item from WB #31074 "The Chosen Ground Command Set #3" which was recently released. Its a four figure set which includes this figure, a mounted infantry officer, an infantry officer advancing on foot, and an infantry corporal advancing on foot.

You are right about the natral sunlight . . . I need to do this more often . . . It takes some effort to drag everything out of the basement to take the photos outside though . . . . The results are certianly worth the effort though . . .

I keep telling Richard Walker and Ken that we need more mounted cavalry, both blue & gray . . . . hopefully we will see some in 2012 . . .

Thanks Joe . . . . word on the street is that both the new Union and Reb artillery gun & crew sets and the first five 114th PA Zoauve sets are now in and will soon be distributed to dealers . . . . perhaps September will be a great month for ACW collectors . . . .
