Due to a lack of released Militia figures you'll have to imagine that my redcoats are being picked off from all angles! {sm4}

Although it is not my era or field of interest I must admit that it is very nicely done and very realistic.
love the buildings and love even more how your path disappears into the background ;
Nice collection of redcoats
:)guy

Nice set up and, as with Guy this era holds little interest for me personally, it is great to see these displays. Very nice. Whose are the buildings?
Mitch

Very nicely done, as an AWI collector it's always interesting to see how other collectors display their figures. Is that the Del Prado Royal Marine figure I see lying wounded in the foreground? ^&confuse

I like this set up a lot and it is nice to see some AWI on the board. Would love to see some more!

Nicely done, M'Lud! Looks like we're about to give them lobsterbacks a thrashing, Up Liberty, Down with the Tyrant George!

Prost!
Brad

Very nice.

I know the Barn in the back is W. Britain. Very heavy building and well worth the price since it can fit in so many dioramas.

I must echo Noah's sentiments. I have a small collection of Rev War figures and I too think its great to see some King's men and Rebels going at each other on this board or any other for that matter. Keep them coming . . .

It's always nice to see some AWI dio's!!! You've done a very good job with this set up and made good use of all the scenics. I love how you worked in the background picture too.

I hear you on the lack of K&C militia. I wish they would release at least another 6 more since they released 6 initially. They are fantastic figures!

Always great seeing AWI dio's{sm3} Really like what you've done, love the set up with the buildings, background path, fences and figures.

That barn looks really cool too! Thanks for posting.{sm4}

Hey Cornwallis;
Superior dio and theme going on here. As before you use the figures so well with the barn and house. I will also put my comment in for another go-around of the Militia and backwoodsmen. Gee, they came and went like a shooting star. None even of the secondhand market (at least that I can afford :().

I look forward to seeing more of your talent on the web! --- Larry

Forgot to ask, but as BigDenny pondered, is that the DelPrado figure without a base (as a wounded and downed figure)??
Wow, what a great idea. The figures are low cost so, since Andy has a deaf ear to the wounded AWI figures, maybe a little custom work to those figures.

How easy is it to get the base off the figure ^&confuse. A little cut and paste to the arms, a little repaint and hummmmmmmm!!! :rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

Larry, I would agree with you and others who desire another group of AWI militiamen from K & C. I had these figures and enjoyed them a lot. I would have enjoyed them even more if they had been expanded beyond the first 6. I think K & C would have another winner, even if it was a small release of 4-8 additional militiamen.

And you are right, the original ones are difficult to find on the secondary market!

Noah

I have several of the Del Prado Marines and IMO they don't work too well with K&C's regulars, mainly because their uniform is somewhat different. What I'm planning on doing for extra casualty figures is buying several sets of Conte wounded redcoats and repainting them to more closely match K&C.

I did exchange several pms with Andy and he mentioned that there is to be a large AWI release in early 2012 including many action poses {sm4}, although he didn't specify which regiments

Really!!! {sm3} Well that {sm4 would be wonderful to see more AWI sets. {sm4}{sm4} I hope more (non-combat) but I will take just about anything that Andy and friends have to offer.

Do you really think that Conte is more compatible then a Del Prado? I know that there have been a dozen threads about compatibility of one manufacture vs. another but I don’t see that as a good match. But you know what, it doesn’t matter. All that counts is that you enjoy them. Besides, Conte has a higher Price/figure so for me to rework it might cause a bit more thinking.

Oh yea, I haven’t forgotten about posting pictures of my AWI collection. I will do that soon.

Non-combat figures would be great but what I'm hoping for is a new release of British artilley and maybe a set of Royal Marines {sm3}

As for the Del Prado figure, I merely meant that the Marine uniform doesn't match up with the Regulars that well. I personally like the Conte figures because even though they aren't the same scale, the poses are useful for extra figures to be used in the background of a diorama. The main issue I have with them is that the paint quality doesn't come close to K&C so I usually break out the paintbrush and try to touch them up a little. :rolleyes2:

I can't wait to see your AWI troops, especially some of the marching redcoat formations {sm4}{sm4}

I actually live on the grounds of The Battle of Monmouth....I didn't have too much interest in the subject matter.......But I am getting there.... I actually just picked up my first pieces from Britans........Good looking scene !

Well Firebat, welcome to the world of the American Revolution. We seem to be a small but "VERY DEDICATED" group as can be seen by the excellent dios that Cornwallis makes. Hope to see some of your collection.
