However the following problems and damages have occured:...

AN013 - Machine Gun figure's machine gun has broken right off from hands and from tripod, completely un-glueable!:(

Also missing small sten gun, but not bothered about that!:)

Daimler armoured car's middle wheel has come off, sits in, but tilts to one side!:(

Daimler armoured car has been sent with out camp fire!

2 out of 3 figures from daimler armopured car are very badly chipped!:(

I know it was not the seller's fault, I wouldn't blame him, but do you think I could be entitled to something back, I paid $1000 for:

AN012 - Street Fighting
AN013 - The defenders
AN014C - Lt Brian Horrocks With Map
AN015 - Bren Gun Carrier
AN016 - Daimler Armoured Car

Not had much luck with figures lately!:(

You've had a real bad stretch, haven't you. Shame.

However, I don't agree it's not the seller's fault. The risk should be on him until you receive it. If you're not satisfied, send it back.

No excuses - Send them back !

It is the sellers responsibility to get it there in one piece or take out insurance for it - not yours. IMHO.

Guy should have packed them better, open a paypal claim if its e bay. When it's that expensive better packing is a given.

if i remember a previous thread you contributed to,you mentioned your appreciation to your grandmother for her financial support and contribution to your hobby,if the £600 you spent has any element of your grandmothers money, you should send all the items back to the sender and get your money back as a mark of respect to your grandmother and her contribution to your interest, all these sets can be purchased elsewhere at a later date,if you have patience. When you say it isnt the sellers fault ,did you know they were damaged before you bought them?,seems somewhat strange to me to spend £600 and take the damage to your sets on the chin, the way you seem to have done,i know if it was my hard earned money and i purchased good to go models in good faith and they turned up as you described,i would not be so philosophical and not blame the seller,in fact i would be more angry if i bought them with money given to me by my grandmother, perhaps you should be more careful how you spend your money and apply some caution to whom you buy from.

And perhaps you could whip yourself repeatedly at the same time for being so foolish as to invest in your chosen hobby.

Scott,
PM'd you with a practical solution.

I don't believe we encourage flagellation on this Forum (just a wild guess):eek:

Noted. I'll keep that kind of subject matter to the other forum that Rob and I are members of. ;)

Ssssssssh!:D. You'll be giving away your forum name of 'Corporal Punishment' next!

Well it was taken from my Granda's 'War Pension Money', this is the money which my gran takes a percentage of and puts away, she calls it my 'Arnhem Money':)

It was a guy on this forum, and he has sent me stuff before and it has come in excellent condition, and packaging, it looks like it has been opened recently, anmd the parcel was sent almost two weeks ago!

A fellow forum member has graciously offered to touch the broken sets and figures up iof I send them down to him, and he is a policeman!:D

And if you can't trust them to do good work, then who can you trust?:p:D

So I may file a complaint with the post office, the same seller has graciously offered me a few more Arnhem sets, and I am deffinetly going to take them, however I will need to sort out something on the box for when it gets to the UK?

The seller is a good guy and a friend of mine, like most people on the forum!:)

I am sure it was not his fault, I am sure however the Royal Mail service will have hell to pay!:eek:;)

How does one file a complaint with them!:)

No offense to Rob but if the Royal Mail is anything like the US mail, fuuugggget about it!

If it's like the USPS, you fill out the forms, hand them to the clerk, then wait for a result........................a couple of two or three dozen years ought to do it.............

That was painful to read...all those damages- that must be a terrrible feeling. I definitely would return them, and don't feel bad if you do. Getting the product to you safely is part of the deal. Better luck on your future soldier purchases. Sounds like you're keeping your chin up, and have a good attitude about this. Good things will come your way :).

I'm with Brad, it is the sellers fault unless the damage or missing items were mentioned in the listing or obvious in the photos. I encourage you to make a claim thru Paypay within the 45 day period, this will ensure the seller does the right thing by you. Do not rely on the seller's assurances of ANY seller without the backup from Paypal as some sellers will promise you the world - right up until the 45 day period expires ;)

At a $1000 dollars, The items should have been insured for any damage by the seller. So did he offer you insurance??. I would file a claim with ebay/ and paypal.

If this was me - i would go totaly bananas!

No matter where the seller lived, i would take the first plane, train or automobile (Steve Martin & John Candy - i love you;)) and hurt the seller with a large stick!

I honestly feel sorry for you!

It wasn't ebay, but it was Paypal guys!:(

Wraith (Simon) has graciously offfered to try and patch up the broken sets!:)

So I will give that a go!:)

And the seller did not describe the items really just said which sets they were, never even gave me the condition of them!:(
