Sammy, today's roller coaster had me tearing my already thinning hair out. 7 runs scored in the top of the 2nd only to give 6 back in the bottom.:rolleyes2: Tillman didn't have squat today. At least the O's kept hammering at them and then struck the fatal blow in the 9th. Glad to see them scoring runs and Paredes and Parmelee have been a welcome addition but Tillman is still a worry and now Wright is struggling. O's pitching really needs consistency. -- AlA great road series for the Os, took 2 of 3 from the red hot Bluejays who have owned us this year until this weekend, good hitting is finally coming around...Sammy
Me and Miss Tiffany are at the game.
Dear Red Sox,
Don't suck tonight.
Sincerely,
Me
To those fans that think the AL East is a weak sister this season, please note that the AL East is the ONLY division in MLB with 4 teams at .500 or better. They're beating someone.:wink2: -- Al
Good stat. The O's are 5th. That gives the AL East 3 of MLB's 5 highest scoring teams. -- AlAnd their run producing is among the highest for most teams. ( Toronto 1st. and Yankees 2nd. )Michael
Forgot to mention that it was a MLB record streak for RF (maybe whole outfield, not sure:redface2. -- AlSigns that the apocalypse is upon us: Nick Markakis (former O's and current Atlanta Brave right fielder) committed a fielding error on the first play of today's game against the Nats. It was the first error Markakis has committed after a streak of 398 straight games without an error. -- Al
On the heels of the Pirate sweep, the Nats just swept the Braves out of town, outscoring them 12-2 over the 3 games. Nat's starting pitching still on a role as in these 6 straight wins, the pitchers have combined for 43.1 innings and have allowed just 1 earned run. Today, Doug Fister joined the line as he went 7 shutout innings in a 7-0 win. Nat's starters now also have a 41.1 inning scoreless streak in progress. Scherzer back up tomorrow in Philly. -- AlNats sweep the erstwhile hot Pirates out of DC. Possibly our best series of the season. Shutdown the Pirates offense and beat-up their pitching. Nats outscored the Pirates 19-3 and outhit them 34-14 over the 3 games. Maybe we can use this as a springboard to get moving again, like May. -- Al
Met's deGrom threw a heck of a game, 8 shutout innings in the 2-0 win. He's a good one. -- AlMets finally did something they haven't done in a week: win {eek3}
