Baseball 2015 (3 Viewers)

I see it's 90ish in Laguna today. What I wouldn't give to hit the beach there today.

Rangers and Blue Jays are tied at 4 apiece, bottom of the 9th, Toronto is up. A shame to spoil Hamel's efforts, but the Jays look like they're not letting the Rangers go home, up 2-nothing, not yet, anyway.

I see Cueto continues to do his level best to torpedo the title hopes of KC. Houston up 3-0 in the 2nd inning. KC can't afford to go to Houston down 2-0 in games because Keuchel goes for Houston in Game 3 and he is 15-0 at home. -- Al

Only 15-0? ^&grin Cueto hasn't been very good since the trade.

Congrats to Brad and his Mets, Tom and his Bucs and Michael, Al and Louis and their Yankees as all have clinched.

I don't have a dog in this fight as both the Red Sox and Giants are out, but I'm pulling for the Cardinals (best organization in baseball), Royals (their fans deserve it, plus one of by best OTSN customers Brad and his two sons are Royals fans), Angels (for our Brad's son), Pirates as they are Fam-ily, Rangers for our friend on the other side of the pond, Dodgers (yuck), Toronto (sorry, too many band wagon yahoo fans), Cubs (sorry; Maddon and Theo...........no thanks to that), Mets (sorry Brad, 1986 is the wound that will never heal) and the Yankees (1978, Bucky Dent, 2003 Aaron Boone; need I say more) in that order.

No matter what, October baseball is awesome, so I'll be watching....................

The choked down the stretch, and couldn't hit a lick in the months of September and October, but I got a lot more out of this season than I expected from the Yankees. I thought they would have a losing season, and they made the wild card. If they would just get rid of Brian Cashman and get a general manager who would spend the money wisely, on a couple of players who aren't on the tail end of their careers or so injury prone, imagine what Girardi could do with a roster of young, talented players. Maybe this offseason they will ditch Cashman, and find a way to move a few of their older, over paid players out, bring up some of the talented young kids we got a glimpse of this September, and sign a couple of quality players not over the age of 35!

Good luck to the Dodgers (I Don Mattingly finally gets his ring), Cubs (the most snake bitten fan base is sports), Kansas City (like George said, they have waited a long time) and Houston (another long suffering team).

Rangers up 5-4 on the Blue Jays; fans are rioting because it looked like the go ahead run was scored by a player who looked out on the previous play.

Rangers threatening to go up 2-zip.

Yikes.

Astros up 4-2 on the Royals with Cheese; like Al said, if they go up 2-zip, the Royals get the Astros ace in game three.

Double Yikes.

Could be an all Texas ALCS......................

Who saw this coming?

Watching Ohlendorf rock back and forth is putting me to sleep. He's like a human rain delay.

If it's an all Texas series, I hope its the Astros, a NL team!

Oliver Perez is still the same loser he was with the Mets.

I'd be pulling for the Rangers, an AL team, not to mention their meltdown vs the Cardinals was Red Soxesk circa 1986, would like to see them win one.

Plus Napoli is on the Rangers and the Red Sox don't win the WS in 2013 without him, plus I like Beltre a lot as well as Hamilton, Fielder, Hamels.

And Houston has blown a 4-1 lead, now the Royals with cheese have the go ahead run on 3rd with no outs in the 7th........and they scored on a base hit, now up 5-4, first lead for them in the series....................

Sorry Jason, I can't take credit for it. They used to call Mike Hargrove that.

that sucked...

that pick off really broke my will...

but with Altuve's ground out...

probably didn't make any difference...

Redbirds break open a 1-0 game in the 8th, two home runs, one an absolute bomb, to go up 4-0.

Captain Smarmy should have left Lester in there; Joe Maddon ladies and gentlemen.

Lackey was lights out; he's a post season game day bulldog, that is for sure.

The Cardinals are incredible, they just keep bringing up studs through their farm system.

Absolutely loaded, by far the best organization in baseball, there's not a close second IMO.

And their bullpen is just lights out to boot.

A fun team to root for with great, great fans.

Ballgame Redbirds.

Brad; your Mets are up next tonight, good luck.................................October baseball is the bomb.

Quite a decent team you could field consisting of ex Red Sox players on playoff qualifiers;

Crawford in left, Ellsbury in center, Cespedes in right
Beltre at third, Lowry at short, Gonzalez at first, Rizzo as DH
Ross behind the plate
Lester, Lackey on the front of the rotation, Miller as the closer on the back end

Find a second baseman and two more starters and you're good to go.

Our former GM did a Hell of a job trading away talent, no wonder he got canned.

Whoee! Kershaw and deGrom are mowing the batters down. Kershaw has fanned 11 and deGrom has fanned 10, through 5 innings. Heck of a game to watch. -- Al

How long do the Mets let deGrom go with 101 pitches through 6. Dodgers can't touch him but do the Mets save his arm and go to the bullpen? Think they'll let him go 7 and then the pen, if the count doesn't go too much higher. -- Al

Well, the pens have it now. The duel was fun to watch. deGrom was brilliant and while Kershaw was good, his post-season troubles continue. Clip in for the 8th. Mets need 4 more outs and still lead by 2.^&grin -- Al
