Syndergaard just said "That's my plate out there, not theirs." I love the attitude.

Those American League crybabies started whining about the first pitch. Noah responded if you have a problem with me, meet me 60 feet 6 inches away. If they had a problem, well Syndergaard had a few ABs where they could have buzzed him. Game on. Coronation over. This is going to be a war.

Brad, that attitude only works if your team bails you out and scores 9 runs..:rolleyes:Michael

I saw a picture earlier today of Citi Field ( I tried to copy and paste it, but was unable to for some reason); there are two huge plexiglass enclosed sections with additional seats to the left and right of home plate.

I bet the fans who have front row seats along the field and now have to look at that are just livid over this.

Sorry Brad, I know you're Mets fan #1 around here, but what a tacky, hayseed, bush league move, talk about greed.

If a pop up lands in either of those sections and impacts the score pro Royals and anti Mets, it will be a disasta.................................

Well, I stand corrected; this is MLB's idea, it's not for Mets fans, it's for baseball so and so's.

Has nothing to do with the Mets; anyway, the former front row fans really got a raw deal here...................

If I had front row seats and MLB did this I would sue them.

I'm sure that MLB has contractual protection. You don't think they didn't think of the situation?

Ticket prices still seem out of control. Obviously people are paying as Citi was full and rocking last night.

Not at all. Unless you establish control, they will tee off on you. Don Drysdale used to say that he owned one half of the plate and the batter the other and it was up to the batter to figure out which part.

Moreover, that Yankee reject Dave Eiland said before the series started that "Murph was too comfortable and I'll leave it at that." What is the difference between what Syndergaard and Eiland said? None.

Should be an automatic ejection and suspension for intentionally throwing a 100 mph fastball toward a guy's head. He admitted it was intentional so he can't even invoke a Brady defense.

Please. This is hardball, not little league. He threw inside, not at the guy's head, not to mention it was over his head. A purpose pitch, with message sent and delivered, and backed up. If they don't like it, they can retaliate. That is the way the game is played.

They maynot have. MLB has done lots of dumb moves in the past. And blocking someones view may not be covered.

They have done this before. I recall seeing this happen at Yankee Stadium. This is not new.

This sounds like a 'he's on my team and he's a man claiming his half of the plate' vs 'he's on the other team and a dirty slimeball' situation. The Royals hit him pretty hard for a while...and in some games those three runs would have been enough.

Amazing how run support changes the perception of a pitcher's outing. Give up three runs and win...Brilliant pitching! Give up three runs and lose...Chump!

The 3 run point is usually seen as the tipping point in a pitcher's outing, ie., give up 3 or fewer runs and you have a high percentage probability of winning the game. 4 or more runs and the odds of winning fall way off. -- Al

Alex Anthopoulos, the GM of the Jays declined a 5 year contract extension worth $10 million in favour of being unemployed. Once again a Toronto sports team owner who knows nothing about sports (or sound management practice) has screwed the fans.

Sounds a lot like a hard slide to break up a double play. The NY press was crying a river over that. LOL. Just having you on a bit. Good luck tonight.

this sucks....got tricks and treats going on tonite as well as the ball game, we always go all out for Halloween with the good candy/decor so always get lots of little ones, but hate to miss any of the game tonite, maybe put the stash out by the front door with a note.."game in progress do not disturb"!!!:) naaa.....some holigan would take the whole dam thing, looks like a lot of pause/play for awhile tonite...Sammy

I begin to understand why Cespedes moves from team to team. He is certainly no threat to win the Gold Glove in the outfield. -- Al

I blame this on Collins. His insistence on using a formula in the bullpen from which he won't deviate has cost the Mets this game.

That was an ugly inning although not as bad as it could have been thanks to the DP. Sure went south fast. If the Mets don't come back in this game, they will have an extremely tough road. -- Al

They won't. This guy is pitching how a closer should pitch. I don't want to see Clippard pitching again this year. He's the problem.

That didn't help giving up 3 runs, but I think the real problem is the Mets have only 4 hits to the 9th and have made 2 errors.

Terry

You can't win when you get four hits and your 2-3-4-5 hitters go 1 for the game. It's like watching the June Mets.

You can't give up those two walks, you can't make an error and you can't get doubled off of first. That is just poor baseball.

Brilliant base running must be added to his resume.:rolleyes2: -- Al
