Baseball 2016 (4 Viewers)

I'll still be watching my team ^&grin

Terry

Right; how could I forget you and all those rabid, die hard, knowledgeable baseball fans up north who root for Canada's team, the Blue Jays.

"Hey, let's buy tickets to the Jays game and go yell and scream for nine innings while we get tanked on Labatt blues, sounds like a fun day out".......................

Actually, they are the front runners right now to get to the WS in the AL.

Imagine a Jays/Cubs world series..........................stop the world, I want to get off.

if you go George, just what out for those flying beer cans, those guys in Toronto take their baseball to a whole different level!! :)

Anything with the Cubs will draw large ratings. I hope the Jays beat Texas as Terry is a big fan.

The way they've bludgeoned the Rangers so far, a loss in this series would be epic.

And yes, Terry is a knowledgeable baseball fan, he and I have had more than a few baseball related discussions, he knows his stuff.

For him, them getting to the WS would be nice; like any team, when they are good, the bandwagon fans come out of the woodwork, so no harm, no foul.

I just get a kick out of fans who cheer or boo and have no clue why they are doing either.

I didn't realize Terry was such a big baseball fan. I guess the AL East will have supporters regardless of who moves on. Since my O's are done, I will pull for the AL East rep in the AL Championship game, Sox or Jays. But I haven't given up on the Nats or Giants as my primary teams, yet. Ain't baseball wonderful? -- Al

I have not given up yet as the Giants have come back from being down 2-0 in a 5 game playoff series before. They actually went on to win the World Series that same year. Plus, Bumgarner goes on Monday.

WHAT TO DO? The Jays are playing tonight opposite the Packers vs Giants opposite the Great Train Wreck Debate. I can stream only 2 channels at the same time. Tape one. Watch one. Skip one - but which one {sm2}

Who is watching what tonight???

Terry

Since the debate and the football game are both train wrecks, go with the clinching game 3 vs the Rangers.............................don't bother taping either of the other two as both are going to end badly....................

I sympathize with you but I don't see the Giants winning the series. Cubs can beat you with pitching or hitting or both.

The Giants would be my third choice. Regular season game. Blue Jays game starts around 8. You can then switch over to the main course, must see TV, at least for the first 30 minutes. Hard to believe but the ratings for the Debate may top the first one. After that go back to the game, especially if the Jays are winning.

Well, what do you know? A team I am rooting for finally wins a game in the post-season as the Nats beat LA to even their series. -- Al

Al:

That was a big win. Going to LA down 2-0 would have been tough. The Nats just need to get a split on the road to set-up a game 5 at home.

A split would be nice. I'm just pessimistic about the overall chances. The Nats just haven't done well against the NL West in general, especially LA. -- Al

Smart decision by Donaldson. If he's out they still have the next inning to win. It was a nothing to lose decision.

Nice job by Toronto against the Rangers. I'd like to see Boston rally against Cleveland so we have an all AL East final, but it's a hard road for them. -- Al

Nats got 4.2 innings of scoreless ball out of their bullpen and beat LA 8-3 to take a 2-1 series lead. My pessimism has faded a bit.:wink2: -- Al

Red Sox lose 4-3, tying run on second, winning run on first in the bottom of the ninth, but that's where it ended.

Too bad; this offense just never got on track all series long, didn't have a single inning where they scored more than one run.

Offense wins games, pitching wins championships.

Some tomato can I wouldn't know if I fell over him pitched his *** off for Cleveland tonight, they were doomed.

The season ends here, will see how things shake out going forward, Toronto/Cleveland should be fun, we'll see if the Indians can shut down Toronto the way they did Boston.

Time to turn the page...................we're on to Cincinnati................

Congrats to Toronto and Cleveland, last teams standing in the AL. Wouldn't have guessed either at the start of the season. There you go and that's why they play the games. Should be a good series. -- Al
