Joe.....We couldn't believe it when we were approached to do a 12 foot by 16 foot diorama. We thought he meant 12 inches by 14 inches. He is building a room for this monstrosity.

Material for this diorama was over $500

We just hope TGC brings attention to the hobby as a whole from would be new collectors. Mostly all of the correspondence we received since TGC, actually has come from people we don't know. Alex

Ah yes, Retirement! Isn't it wonderful. I have been retired for 2 years now this month and I am enjoying every minute of it. Again Alex, you and Nick do some amazing WWII scenes . . . I would be interested in seeing what you could create for the ACW . . . . for example, the December 1862 Fredericksburg, VA water front . . . ruins, snow, a river front, and Confederate snipers/skirmishers . . . what more could one ask for . . . .

I really look forward to your ACW series. Here's a couple of period photos of Fredericksburg, VA in Decembe 1862 that I beleive you and Nick could easily duplicate . . . . lots of similarity to the WWII scenes you do . . . .

Quite interesting a Civil War City Scape rather than a battle in the fields. That would play to our strenghts well. We do have some awareness of the Civil War. Gettysburg also fought through the town on day 1 I believe. We had thought the 3 days of Gettysburg would provide quite a variety of scenes for a Mini Series. There was also a little known Calvary Engagement at Gettysburg ...Correct? Custer and Jeb ?

You are correct on both accounts Alex. The Confederates pushing the Union through Gettysburg on July 1, 1863 would be an interesting project . . . lots of street fighting, broken lines, and confusion. Custer's Michigan Wolverines cavalry hitting Jeb Stuart's dismounted cavalry on July 3, 1863 would neat too . . . You could also do alot with the seige of Petersburg with the entrenchments . . .

Thanks Mitch.......You know Nick and I are WWII guys also, but the ACW is fun to do here and there. We love to build our elaborate buildings, but we are now starting to work with new scenery techniques also. Alex

Thank you sir. We well be back to WWII shortly. Check THE GREAT CRUSADE thread for a TGC Episode III preview, with the most elaborate structure we ever built. Alex

We had some requests to show an entire pic of the St. Mere Eglise Church that was shown in Episode II of the Great Crusade. She took 2 months to build out of foam and wood, and measures
Three and a half feet by two and a half feet............. You will see more in Episode III.........We are bringing it to the Hackensack New Jersey show ....... Stop by and see us...... We have 50 Special Edition oversized post cards commemorating THE GREAT CRUSADE we will give to the first 50 visitors that stop by......Nick and I will sign them.......

No we will NOT sell it......It is staying in our museum.....We had some tempting offers, but it is staying put. We needed it to complete Episode two, so we actually plan on detailing it a bit more, one of the improvements will be a individually shingled roof. You can't see it, but the tower has it already
