So, I've always wanted one of the KC Maultier sets, but wanted something set to a winter theme. I had to chance to grab a slightly damaged KC Opel Blitz and figured 'what the...er, heck' and ripped out the bench seats, gave it a winter white-wash and installed the 20mm flak from the previous set in the back. You'll notice I provided no pics of the inside as I've still got to build out the gun frame for the flak, but thought I'd gotten the effect I was looking for until the 'detail work' is completed.
Thanks !
mike

Excellent Mike! Is the flak gun from the WS080 Gepard Flakpanzer and if it is, then was this set damaged?

Tom

Very nice. The Opel has always one of my favorite soft skinned vehicles. Good job.

Hey Mike...are those Build-a-rama sets in the background? Very nice set up!!

excellent sollution. You created a whole new vehicle
guy:)

Thanks very much gents, I like having a few 'one off' vehicles in the motor pool.

Spud, those are indeed Build-a-Rama buildings in the background. I really like their winter sets.

TomNT, I acquired the Flakpanzer as a 'partial set', missing one figure and came with a broken barrel. The vehicle itself is in fine condition, the gun/mount comes right off so I can use it on the back of the Opel or place it back in the flakpanzer.

Blowtorch, Too funny, guess this would felt right at home in Mogadishu. While there are pics of these in use by the German Army, I wonder if they were a 'field mod'.

Thanks !
mike
