Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (3 Viewers)

The title of the diorama is "Saving the Guns at Maiwand". I believe the name of the company that made the miniatures is HM Miniatures or JM Miniatures. The figures are very nicely painted, and the artillery pieces, limbers, and caissons are exceptional . . . you can actually lift the shells out of the spaces in the limbers where they fit.

Thanks Louis,

It isn't HM of GB is it?

Kevin it's sure been awhile since Carlos's been bored. Guess I'll have to fill in for him this time around hoping will find him bored again real soon......The Lt.

great shot Joe

Meant to comment Kevin on your last posting I've learn to take advantage of natural lighting which you brought to my attendion with a number of your great photos using the same technique. Seems I'm bored again as the two 24th foot make their shots count.....The Lt.

Continuing to play with the camera and posing my figures in front of a scenic backdrop. I still have more to learn about this art form but I am having fun. I want to thank LT (Joe) for the great background picture which he sent to me today. I call this picture "Running to the Drift"

Lt., and Mike (Mestell) thank you both for the pictures.:) Mike (1879), just wondering if you have some photos of W.Britain matte with the amazing Build-A-Rama mats?

Vick

Jake,
The first one is the desert mat. The second, titled "Wait for Me!", is the dirt road mat. I panned out to give you a feel...Multiples fit together seamlessly.

PS-Green paint available in the States!

Excellent Mike, thanks for the snaps !!

Funnily enough I just picked up some green paint as well, readily available in Canada too :D

Thanks for the excellent photos Mike!:D:) The Zulu War matte look awesome in my opinion on the mats! I'm very torn on what to buy right now scenic wise, I'm usually very good making my own scenic diorama stuff from craft store material and natural things (e.g. dirt, sticks, etc), and now with all the new WWII goodies from W. Britains I'm like a 8 year-old in a candy shop, with no idea on what to buy and tempted at every corner!:D Now I just might have to add another item to my OSTN shopping list!;) I already have decided to buy the upcoming K&C Atlantic Wall Bunker at OSTN, and maybe a few W. Britains figures, and now perhaps some mats!:D:) It's rather sad, two months of hard labor, and all the money gone in less then an hour!;) But hey, who am I to complain, toy soldiers are the best!

Jake

Great looking comparison photos of those scenic mats Mike - thank you for sharing them with us. Both look excellent. The desert mat compliments your back drop scenic very very well.
Mike

Those mats sure are somethin' else;)

Nice pictures

Cheers

Martyn:)

How nicely the matte Brit's and background photo blend in with you new mats and the way they've been featured 1879......The Lt.
