Just took the dog for a brisk walk in this crisp, Pa fall air, finished eating my Panera Cinnamon bagle and can hopefully get this download to take. :(

A lone Persian scout gets caught flat footed in a remote section of ancient Greece.

The Athenians and Persian are from the East of India company, the Spartans are Aeroart and the scenics are JG Miniatures.

After securing a small French town, some tankers round up a donkey and slap a West Point blanket on him (because, you know, those were all around the place in Normandy 1944 :D) and give a little impromptu parade for some special VIPs. ;)

All of these figures and buildings ared K&C, with the exception of the West Point horse- he is from Soldiers of the World.

OEF- taking down Bin Laden- The World's Public Enemy #1

I want to cover this with a light coat of snow- couldn't find any at the moment.

The figures are mostly K&C- there are two Figarti Insurgents in there as well. The scenics- KC Cave and well, KC Scaffolding, Gittens base and rocks, Build-a-rama firepit.

The figures are all over the board- the Barbarians are a good mix of Conte and KC. The Romans are mostly East of India and Conte with some Russians in there as well. The scenics are dept. 56 and Gittens war torn trees. The East of India figures rank up really impressively- alone they aren't much to look at but in ranks, they are splendid. They are slightly smaller than their KC/Conte counterparts.

I have received a lot of nice compliments on this DDay dio so here's some new (and I believe better) pictures- picked up a couple new dudes. The entire scene is by Gitten- with the exception of the beach obstacles- those were made by Hasbro in 1984 for my GI Joes :D

Here goes- Rangers lead the way!!

For this dio- I think I am going to pass on the landing craft and just focus on the beaches themselves- I feel bad doing that as the lc's were such iconic images of WW2- who knows. Anyway, as stated, the figures are K&C and the scenics are Gittens.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)

Figures are mostly KC with Figarti insurgents and American forces- the HB Santa in ACUs in in there as well- holding a discussion with another trooper on the roof.

The building is Barzso and I like his stuff the best for Middle Eastern flavored buildings. Otherwise, the small pieces are Forces of Valor and the Palm Tree is Gittens, as well as the dio bases.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE FIGARTI STRYKER AND ABRAMS TO GO WITH THIS!!!

Chris,

Some very nice looking figures you have in your collection, they all look great but I agree the Romans are my favourite along with the Greeks.

Thanks for posting these.

Jeff
