Both of the calendars look great LT but I think I favor the one with the 24th - the "up hill" perspective is really cool.

Excellent snaps Mike and Joe. Hoping some warriors will arrive at the Drift this week so I can join in the fun.

Great pictures Mike and Joe, and thanks for the calendar Joe;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Nice knowing that the calendars are appreciated and kicking off the new month with two of my favorite figures from WBritain and hoping to see more joining them firing their weapons in the next releases by them....The Lt.

Reinforcements have arrived at my Drift today via UPS. WB #20018 X 2. For me, this was a hard figure set to acquire. Most dealers/stores that I am aware of are sold out of this one. The store I got these from have three left in stock as I understand. PM me if interested and I will let you know where I got them from.

Still playing with the camera and my WB figures. This picture is for Mike Miller. We had a nice chat earlier this evening. He suggested trying to take a picture with natural lighting/no flash using the macro focus mode. He also suggested using photobucket all the time - something I do off and on. I still need to get some ground cover. This is what I got -

Once again enjoying you playing with your camera and nice knowing your following Michael's advise. Over time Mike and with continued trial and era you'll master the use of your camera achieving the goal you've set for yourself.......The Lt.

Lighting is very important especially with digital cameras, the more the better it seems.

You are making fine progress Mike, I would add that maybe try pulling the figures away from the back drop though.

Nice new acquisitions to your drift and looking forward to what comes next.

Mike,
Why didn't you tell us you were using flash with no macro. There's your problem!:D No longer though. Great stuff!

Another very nice picture LT. I am really enjoying this aspect of our hobby - its a nice extension of collecting.

Well I have the day off from work and I have been busy playing with my camera and Zulu figures. First off I went to Office Depot and purchased a packet of 8.5" X 11" photo paper and a few sheets of self mounting foam board. Then off to Michael's Craft store for some light green reindeer moss. I set up a photo shoot in my basement. I used a picture of Zululand that I found on the internet as a backdrop. After printing it I adhered it to the foam board for stability. Only lighting from an over compact flourescent light, and two desk lamps (each with a 75w bulb) on either side of the picture was used. I positioned the figures, using the moss to cover the fourground and their bases. Placed my camera 6" from the subject, set it on no flash with macro focus mode on. After taking the picture I cropped it to my liking and saved it. Here's the result . . . . .

Setting up a picture like this takes longer than some might think. But I am finding that its a great way to enjoy and play with my figures . . . . . . Mike
