On the date 130 years ago members of the 1st and 2nd Battalion(2nd Warwickshire)Regiment of Foot were faced with an over whelming force of 20,000 Warriors. The following photos represent just a small pocket of it's members along with members of the Natal Mounted Police that were involed on the faithful day...The Lt.

More wonderful additions LT. Those NMP look better "in the flesh' than the catalogue. There was discussion of them being to squat ut that doesn't seem to be the case. Great stuff, deploying my troops this evening LT............hang in there, help is on the way......... :D :D :D

Lt.,
Must agree with Scott...The NMP guys look great and make a wonderful addition to your HQ! Are they bluish black uniforms? I know we've conversed at length on the color, just wanted your take:)
Happy Anniversary
Mike

1879,
They'er a very dark bluish black heavy on the black side which I'll forgive WBritain for not featuring them in the faded Brown color they look great. Watch me get scolded.....The Lt.

So many pictures so little time. Lt you are certainly one of the most prolific of photographers. You are very good at getting these shots.

Very Nice Lt.

If 1200 men couldn't hold a defensive position this morning, what chance have we with 100?
Vick:D:D:D

Scott,
Nice deployment of more guys to the front! Is that your little girl on the desktop?
Mike

I must say these are probably some of the most amazing and finely detailed figures I have seen. And for the money you can;t go wrong. Thanks Ken & the rest of the WB team for visiting this war.
As most of you know I prefer the pomp, grandeur and the ceremonies of the Royal family and have never really had much interest in figures with guns "fighting & killing each other" but this series is beautiful.
Thanks to all the forum members for introducing me to the Zulu Wars (I think :D) looking forward to the 2009 releases. :p

Scott,
Great pictures of the hospital and your new terrain base. Looks like you've got a lot going on. Just please, please make some time to get and watch Cy Endfield's epic movie. I know you'll love it.

Cheers Mike, and yes it is a movie that I really would like to see.

There's no doubt in my mind based on your comments Scott the enjoyment you had as you took the figures out of their boxes and looked them over for the first time. Got a hunch your in it now for the long run and will be looking forward to seeing what you'll be doing creativily as your collection grows. Once again welcome to the Land of The Zulus........The Lt.

Excellent Scott

I have to agree with Joe and Mike it looks like you have been well and truely bitten by the AZW bug, not a bad thing, but the only antidote is to buy the next set as soon as it becomes available:D

Cheers

Martyn:)

Cheers guys, yes I was like a young child at Christmas time. I didn't know which box to open first. LOL I just need to improve my camera skills now so I can get some stunning shots like the rest of you.
