Thanks guys it's hard not to keep putting the Brit figures in front of my camera and does keep me out of getting into any mischief......The Lt.

Earlier in the same spot that the Zuls Warriors were caught off guard two privates of the 1/24th pause for a moment from their route at Isandlwana as one adds his last bullet to his Marini-Henry while his mate ask have you any idea of where we are......The Lt.

I have succumbed and added some WBritain’s matt finish AZW figures to the collection, I didn’t put up much of a fight.:D

I took a trip across country to Guildford and visited the Modelzone shop. Here I purchased the Modelzone limited edition “Cold Steel” set number 102 of 500, very nice piece and goes really well with the mealie bag wall.

Bought a couple of other sets which will follow later this evening.

Only need about 3999 Zulus and 100+ defenders:eek:

Great stuff Martyn, although they won't go with your Trophy sets. Best you send him to me , I am sure I can accomodate them at the Drift. :D:D:D

But Scott you must remember if you haven't forgotten Matyn has acquired the Hospital which I'm sure he's planning on defending with the additional Brit's he has enroute to support the lonely Brit defending the mealbag walls. Thanks Martyn for not spoiling my surprise by not posting it. Looks like we'r both hooked on the new Britains as well as Trophy and will be expecting to see additional photos as the troops and I've no doubt the warriors when they arrive.....The Lt.

Hi Mike

Still looking for my missing Trophy sets though, love to find them one day;)

Delivered as I knew he would with some great photos and a great job with the camera Martyn and must say they're the best you've done to date not taking anything away from your previous Trophy photos. Great photo of the attempted escape. Like others I'll be looking forward to seeing others and the way you present them as they arrive in your Land of The Zulus.......The Lt.

Many thanks Lt, thought you might like it;)

It might be a little while before any reinforcements arrive so I will have to make do with the fine upstanding men I have under my command at present.

I've got some ideas of how the campaign will progress though:cool:

Cheers

Is this a Britain's set???:confused::confused::confused::confused:

It sure is!
This is a set I sculpted as a W. Britain/ModelZone exclusive. This will work perfectly with the three new hand to hand sets that will appear in the new catalog.
All four of these used together with the mealy bag walls already available will depict some tense moments at the drift. There is more to come later this year too.
This has been a fun range to work on for all of us!

Ken are the hand to hand sets attached to their mealie bag walls as they are in the Model Zone sets?.......The Lt.

No Joe,

I made all of these figures so they could be moved about. In one of the sets the Zulu coming over the wall has a mealie bag as a base. The bag is hollow on the underside with a pin. The pin registers into a hole on top of the barricade to prevent the figure from falling over. If you do not wish to place the Warrior coming over the top, an ammo box with a pin is provided to plug the hole and the Warrior will stand at ground level using the bag as a base.

In another set one of the 24th Foot OR sits on top of the wall bayoneting down...he can be used a number of places. I think he will be as useful as the other figures that were designed without bases.

The third set has a Zulu with one foot resting on top of the wall, and he could be used other places. The 24th OR defending has one foot on a Mealie bag as a base...similar to the one I sculpted that is yelling over his shoulder and uses a bag as a base.

These design features should give you maximum flexibility...and the three short bag sections are all different, with one of the being curved.

I will post some pictures this weekend.

Great shots Martyn. Those figures are some of my favourites, they are some great action poses. And Kens description of the new sets sounds great, can't wait to see them :D

Thanks Scott, they are the perfect accessories for the Hospital.

The new sets sound fantastic, love the idea of interchangeable pieces.

Now to hunt down my missing sets of WBritains matte AZW, it's a hard life but somebody has to do it:D

Cheers

Martyn:)
