Got me on the medal winners as well, still scored 90 though:p

Cheers

Also got ripped on how long the battle lasted. The correct answer was 15? Yeah right. 1545 to 0400hrs is more like 12 to me. I guess I stand corrected.

I missed question 10 for a score of 14 out of 15......The Lt.

I got 15/15....What did you put down for the turning point...Ulundi? It certainly was a major turning point, Khambula was in the sense that the Zulu commanders realized they could'nt keep throwing numbers at entrenched postions. I love interpretable questions.

My score 15 out of 15:D

Interesting that only 39% got question 10 right;)

Guess I better brush up on my reading in the mean time these Zulu Warriors are awaiting the arrivals of their fellow Warriors due in April/May to beef up the odds against the Brits.....The Lt.

Hi guys,

Some of you know me already from a thread made in the "Shows and Events" area.

I am relatively new to collecting, but have already almost caught up with the current releases of the Britians zulu war range. Which I'll be adding to at the London show! :D

I was wondering what people would like to see Britains release concerning the Zulu war?

And whats your favourite figure so far released? Mine would have to be the Modelzone exclusive "Cold steel" figure(s). I am very glad that the appears to be a move towards combining scenery with figures. For example the April releases, but also the officer in blue patrols that came with the last stand at Isandlwana set, if you remember he had at his feet an ammunition box. I just hope the Modelzone figure was not overlooked when testing if the mealie bag wall fit together! :)

I may post a picture of my "Drift" although i don't quite class it as anywhere near presentable yet!

Cheers

Systempunkt,

A big welcome to the forum! And a fellow Man of Harlech, no less! I'd love to see pictures of the Drift when you can! And so would the rest of the gang!
I would like WB to do a Buffalo Border Guard. Similiar to the NMP I know, but these guys were truly wiped out as Isandlwana. Also a Carbineer and Russell's Rocket Battery! Just my 2 cents.

Good to meet you Mike.

It seems to me, Isandlwana LE set aside, that Britains seem to be concentrating on Rorkes Drift. For that reason I think we stand a better chance of some NNC, even though they ran off. As I am quite sure you know, there were 3 NMP at Rorkes Drift 1 KIA, 1 wounded and 1 fine, hence the recent release of 2 NMP? That aside, I too think some mounted models would be fantastic, especially when paired up with a personality of the conflict. Buller anyone? I would also like to see Dalton and Smith. :p

OK, Rorke's Drift it is. How about Maj. Spalding mounted:p or Adendorff or Schiess in proper uniform? And Some Sgts!
Gotta have Redvers Buller and Evelyn Wood sooner or later!
And Randy can make them into a fine history curriculum for public schools, Lord knows we need some proper non-diversity type curriculum there.

Welcome aboard Systempunkt to the Land of The Zulus. Don't be surprised if both Adenforff and Schiess make an appearance in their proper uniforms request was made many moons ago along with the other members of NNC and hopefully we'll see them sometime this year. I've a hunch will see most of the figures done of the 24th Foot and other characters that took part in the defence of Rorke's Drift and hopefully a few other goodies for the remainder of 2009. Seems like what will be making their appearance in the May/June Flyer will be it for 2009 with the next batch scheuled for the 1st quater of 2010. Hope I'm wrong but let's see what Richard and Ken has in store for us.

Like most I agree that the "Cold Steel" set is very well done and fits in nicely with the earlier mealie bag walls in the defence of the Mission Station. My disappointment with it is that the figures were attached to the mealie bag wall and can't be featured as single figures un atttached from the mealie bags.

Nice photo Randy featuring your new addtions to your matte collection.

The Lt.
