Britain's Zulu War (1 Viewer)

leek zees!!
I have seen a little 6 year old Zulu Herd boy chase a huge bull back into the herd just by shouting at it. The same bull was looking quite menacingly at me and a bunch of fellow hikers just a few seconds earlier and we had all been wondering whether we were all going to have to become amateur matadors. In short the Zulu work with cattle from almost as soon as they can walk. So I cannot imagine a full blooded impi being suprized by a stampede. It must have been Mr Enfield using a bit of poetic licence. Nothing wrong with that though but just an observation.

Damian,
Do not ever doubt my fascination of, praise for, and deep respect for the Zulunation of old, and the men and women as individuals over the centuries.
Very similar in the pride and ways of the Native American Tribes that were decimated in the parallel 1870's in America. How cruel we can be when we are
"right".

Mike, your respect for the Zulus is quite obvious for us all to see by your dedication to your collection and the great dios you post. I remain amazed at how this little war in such a far away place has struck a cord with collectors throughout the world. I can assure my respect for the little Zulu herdboy was quite profound as that Bull on the beach really looked a bit irritated.

Received a nice surprise in the post today, guess the Easter bunny didn't forget me afterall. :D :D :D

Who is that Zulu aiming his spear at ?

These are great figures. Roll on the new stuff, I feel like I am finally starting to get caught up on the Zulu range.

I will get some more snaps when I have a bit more time.

Great looking pictures Scott. Wonderful additions to your collection.

Mike

I have to wonder at a guy who brings a spear to a gun fight. Is he crazy or really, really optomistic? All this Zulu talk got me to pick up some stuff for my AZN display.:p:):D

Scott,
Gallop away!? Where are those Mounted and Armed Frontier Police successors going? We need them! Nice new drafts for the war effort!

These are from Britains? I may have to add some of these. Does anyone have the FF figures? Do they go well together?

Thanks Chaps

Yes KV they are Britains the Zulu is one of the very first released item 20002 and the Natal Mounted Police one of the most recent releases item 20020.

The FF (frontline?) are a little on the small side. I also find them a little too chunky against the finer WB series.

I haven't had a figure from Britains AZW that has disappointed me yet. !!! Great Stuff they are :D :D
