Chicago Show report (2 Viewers)

Thanks Jim:

It looks like the sioux indian hunt dio piece could be used for other themes.

Again thanks for the post,

Carlos

What a great day to be a WW2 collector, K&C and Figarti have unveiled some superb items today and have shown why they are the two big boys when it comes to WW2. Got to make it to Chicago one day.

Has to be one of the best shows for years. The best TS companies in the world displaying and unveiling wonderful items in droves, just great stuff . Anyone who has taken a pic this weekend has my gratitude, we'd be so out of the loop if it were not for you guys.

Rob

I have neither seen nor heard anything about John Jenkins Designs at the show. Anyone have any news? -- Al

For such a small hobby and so close knit I think its dispicable that someone would steal a figure. How sad and pathetic must you be not to be able to resist taking a £40 quid item. Catch him and toss him off the balcony.

Now, I agree patiently awaiting the TG new releases which, are well overdue as there are some very nice sets being released

I've posted about 50 photos so far.... most are of plastic toy soldiers, but I do have some photos from George's room, Britains and a few others.. next week, I'll be posting many more with a lot of metal as well. Link to the photos below.

Also - I've unfortunately heard of several thefts this year... most years I hear of none... very disappointing to say the least/

Thx

Jim

Sad to hear and unfortunately likely that its people who are in the hobby and are known to many not, just random strangers who take the opportunity for a figure here and there

Your pictures have been excellent and look forward to more

Well, on the way to the airport. Great to meet new people and put faces to names.
As befits my nature, I'm heading back with a variety of items:

K & C Glossy
FL ACW
Somerset Indian figures and Black Watch
Figarti Tiger and DAK artillery gun
Ted Toy mounted Buffalo Soldier
Trophy Zulu figures

Not purchased but on the horizon some K & C AK figures

On order: a Figarti Me 110 in desert colors.

BTW, Scarlet Pimpernel had a bunch of Trophy Zulu so email him to see if he has any left.

Good show :)

Any Trophy found at the Show apart from the sets Scarlet Pimpernel (Nicholas) had for sale, I believe I know the source of these and if I am right they are all superb sets:wink2:

Cheers

Martyn:)

How did someone manage to steal a figure ? I thought George's dad was a retired police officer. You know he had to be packing heat !
