hi martyn, i picked up a mamaluke ne14, british grenidiers ar14, mercers gun british artillery, a cuirassier trumpeter and a bunch of little legion at almost half price[ brunswick and french artillery, british hussars, mtd rha officer, and some zulu sets}. other than that i didn't see much trophy. a friend of mine walked away with a huge box of zulus and 24th of foot of trophy figures

Those mounted Mamelukes have been fetching big money on Ebay.

Whenever you get the chance pictures would be nice:salute:: The large box of Zulu/24th sounds like a winner for your friend and I'm pleased you found some LL

Rather a philisophical approach in the circumstances. I find it disgraceful and, would endeavour to hunt him down. I never can comprehend people's greed. The saying is true that its a small world I hope you run into him again!!!

Mitch; the guy actually got TWO of the FL figures, I noticed it later, the first one was obvious, thus the sign, the second took a bit of work to detect.......

I was also a victim of a theft, someone pilched a powder blue set of Rin Tin Tin character figures from my room. Since I was next door to George I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same guy.

Maybe next year I'll bring the two boxes he left behind so he can have them for the figures........

Bottom line is if somone wants to steal, there's not a thing you can do about it, all it takes is a split second and the item is gone............can't worry about things I can't control.

But that said, I did tell my Father that just ONCE I'd love to catch someone in the act.

The Patriots have not had a championship defense since 2004, that defense was incredible.

The 2006 defense melted down in the second half of the AFCCG, blowing a 21-6 halftime lead.

The 2007 defense allowed Eli Manning to march down the field for the winning score in the Super Bowl.

Back to back gag jobs to the Mannings.

Enough said.

The Red Sox have become a punch line here in Boston, it's not even something to get mad over, it's beyond comical.

This is by far the greatest collapse in MLB history, second to none.

It is funny IMO.

$9K is an exaggerate number...for a trading room it can be easily achieved at less than $800 with DVR and $400 with 24hr time lapse recorder. For me the stuff is already on hand...catching a criminal is priceless! I'm not trying to be mean here but imagine what else the guy/s got away with...makes you wish somebody had caught them whether on video or in person!

If you add anything like your sales volume then I'm worried for you...^&grin I feel you George and I understand...it just sucks to think the guy stole from you, your neighbor and likely many others. For me, I wish you had something to go back on!

If you had got the guy on CCTV you could have dealt with it like that scene in Casino with those two hustlers who got caught.

This thread has given me a great idea, "The Toy Soldier Cam". I am going to hollow out a figure and install a micro cam in side of it. Like the Nanny Cam in a teddy bear. Maybe I can use a Goering figure and out the cam inside his stomach.

I have recently bought several sets from that eBayer and I am currently bidding on several others. The return address label says his first name is "Tom." So either the widow story is not true or she is still using her late husband's name on the hand printed return address for whatever reason.
