Connoisseur Figures (1 Viewer)

Combat - i know they only make a few,, but is that marching new bavarian you showed on ebay ? Or is availible from the AERO ART website ??
Thanks

The one I posted was listed on ebay. I've never seen any WWI figures listed on the Aeroart website. You should contact Thor or Nikki Johnson who run the company for status. They usually respond to questions.

Dare i asked how much it went for ??

If you have to ask... LOL. I didn't follow it. Maybe someone else knows. The WWI general was at $305 about 11hrs before that one closed today. The Kaiser is at $255 with several days to go.

Thank you Paulo

Portugal was the first country where I showed my soldiers on the exhibition (it was in 1995 in Lisbon)

Really?, that's interesting. Do you sell many figures to Portugal?

Cheers,
Paulo

I tried a different lens today. This is a fixed focal length (35mm) fast lens (f/1.8). The goal today was to experiment with varying levels of bokeh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokeh. While f/1.8 produced enormous bokeh it was simply too much. I ended up settling on f/8 for most of the pictures as this produced the sharpest images with pleasing bokeh.

Here is one of the Aeroarts I've kept. It is a spectacular example tho, again, I think historic accuracy is overlooked to showcase the talents of the painter. But that's not always a terrible thing...

I love some of that shield work too. But, I really doubt people went into battle with such lavishly painted panels.

Currently, I do not have a partner in Portugal and Spain
Some collectors buy our figures through e-Bay

Frank...

Fantastic pics I really really like Samurai warriors. Awesome stuff. This was my first foray into FL the samurai and have several others bits and bobs.

who made this?

I have a very similar figure from Aeroart. However, this one looks like it may be from another company like Grenada from the markings. I'll take a look at mine tonight to make sure. It's interesting how the sculps get copied from one company to another.

Couple of new Aeroart figures on their ebay site:

Princess Anna Komnene and a marching WWI German

Is it me or is there a mismatch between the level of sculpting and the level of painting of some figures by Aeroart. That princess for example. Very nice painting of the clothes but the pose and the anatomy leaves a lot to be desired.

Cheers,

Alex

It's not just you; I certainly have noticed that from time to time and agree on the Princess.

Aeroart sells pieces made in the studios of St. Petersburg.
