A new mounted samurai from Tatyana Gapchenko and Kolobob. This is specimen 1 of SA07. I have to admit I was tempted but I'm already overcommited in other areas. Maybe next year.

That is a VERY unnatural movement for the horse but the detail is quite impressive.

It's interesting you mention that because one of my gripes with a lot of the connoiseur mounted figures is so many of them are on rearing horses in fantastic poses. I find I like the ones with more natural stances better but they are few and far between.

No, I wish! :cool::)

I've still got several thousand dollars worth of samurai to work my way through before I start on another period.

I'm not sure where the connoisseur moniker came from either. It certainly has a snooty air about it don't you think? :D

The two pieces I've shown are Russian Vityaz PB200 (Catapult) and PB215 (Ballista).

Currahee Chris I think the piece you are refering to is SG-S05 from Andrea Miniatures, a beautiful piece (picture below). This is different than PB200

Frank

Frank- sorry for the super late response- you are absolutely correct- that is the piece I have and need to get painted. It's a very impressive piece.
