http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaken,_not_stirred#Why_shaken.2C_not_stirred.3F

'In "Stirred", an episode of The West Wing, President Josiah Bartlet disagrees with Bond in a conversation with Charlie Young:

Bartlet: Can I tell you what's messed up about James Bond?
Young: Nothing.
Bartlet: Shaken, not stirred, will get you cold water with a dash of gin and dry vermouth. The reason you stir it with a special spoon is so not to chip the ice. James is ordering a weak martini and being snooty about it.[15] "

I think I'm getting near the end of this series. I may still go down and try to retake some shots that didn't turn out.

Agree with you both Martyn and Mike. By way I ran across a scrape book which contained a few vintage photos taken by an unknown photographer. Here's a few of them from it.

Scott I don't find your last post and it's doctoring of my photo very funny or cute...........The Lt.

Sorry Lt....I was trying to make the point visually that I tried to make in print in earlier posts. Your photo was handy and again I apologize to you.

The repeated humorous "documentary" black and white photos of the 5th NY Zouaves charging at Gaines Mill, while funny, I take as a comment on my point that the set is inaccurate to the actual event.

Sorry it didn't meet your high standards of historical accuracy but it doesn't excuse your poor taste in doctoring the photo along with some of your other posting unrelate to the period.

Well heck Lt., I did publicly apologize to you, and my posts on this subject had to do with Conte cartoonizing American heroes. When you post non-copyrighted material on the net this can happen.

My other post that you mean might be the James Bond "shaken not stirred" post. I stand behind that analogy.

I priced this set yesterday and I think $75 USD for three pieces is about right. Conte's usual movie theme sets are one thing, but it's $75 for what amounts to an "action figure" version of a documented event.

If the moderators have a way of deleting your photo I photo shopped, then I request that they do.

Nice effect you have produced with those pictures Joe :salute:::salute::

Cheers mate

Martyn:)
