Thats pretty cool I hope you post some more in the near future but, I think you meant to say he was a carabiner and not a cuirassier. How many del prado conversions have you done so far?

You are of course correct about the carabinier.I've done a lot of repaints and about four conversions.

Very cool! I have not had the gutz to try and convert any painted metals.Hats off to you!
FubaRRRRRRRRRRRR

Thanks it is really not that hard. These are not major conversions, but it is fun. More to follow and maybe I'll learn how to take beter pics. Digital is not my forte!

Thanks for posting the pictures those look pretty cool, now you got me wanting to try a few of them.:p The great thing about napoleonics is that a lot of the uniforms are very similar and makes for lots of conversion ideas. King and country has taken advantage of this also by converting the del prados and releasing them as new king and country pieces, look at the kcs series and the chassuers that are coming out next.

The new news is that K&C has shipped their Alamo figures. Some of the are ripe for french conversions! Yippee..:)

I,m posting these pictures for 9thhussar these are pictures of some of his conversions that he,s been selling on ebay. I really liked what he,s done and asked if he would share some of them on the forum and hope that he,ll post a little something about the work that he has done here on the conversions thread so here are a few of his conversions. I think there great and he has some really good ideas.

If anyone is familier with Contes plastic figures go to www.battlefieldminiatures.com.
This guy, Gary Dutko, does just an outstanding job doing conversions on Contes plastic. He will also send you a cd picturing most of what he has done.
I have over 250 different figures done by him.

Gary,

That is a very interesting website. Thanks for providing the information.

However, I have one question. All the figures I viewed were unpainted. Will he paint them for you or must you obtain the unpainted figures and paint them yourself?

Again, thanks for the information.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
