Creating Mini Dio to Photograph (1 Viewer)

Much clearer now, at the other angle couldn't tell what it was, thanks.

Thanks for the help Mike can sure use it:):):). Ed, Harry and Mike the first figure is one of the two figures representing members of the Natal Native Contingent in Conte's Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift Set one and you'll note it's supposed to be a Martini Henry Rifle with a Bayonet. Both rifles and bayonets were poorly done throughout the two sets but still a keeper. The second figure is by Frontline of Coporal Schiess and features in two of The Winners of The VC Sets by FrontLine. My Lord General all of the figures in the dio are by Cliff Sanderson a few by Hinchliffe and others by Monorach......The Lt.

Thanks for the info Lt.
Bearing in mind these are not touted as museum quality figures, I don't see much wrong with the rifle to be honest.

Cheers
H

Here's the little piece of earth I created for the Zulu war figures that just need to by "down by the river". This one is the Moriarty detachment in a pickle at Ntombe bfore being overrun. Mike

Wow.
Sensational photos. The composition of the figure layout is excellent.
Thanks

That is a fantastically realistic looking dio you've constructed. Water is superb and the way the dio blends with the backdrop is perfect.
Nice one.

I echo what Simon has said, thanks for posting these. :)

1879,
Very nicely done and depicts the event that took place on that faithful day. I noticed a number of Little Legion figures thoughout the dio and others I'm not sure of. How nicely you blended the wagon and oxen into the dio and as stated by Simon the blending of the backdrop photo fits perfectly. The base dio gives you loads of possibilities to create a number of additional mini dios with one it mind is Melvill and Coghill last stand after getting across the river to the Natal side of it. What a great dio base to continue playing with. Thanks Mike for sharing it after spending the time and effort putting it all together an a nice way of enjoying my first cup of coffee seeing it this AM.....The Lt.

, very nice, the scene is very vivid.

Lt., giving you compliments with each nice pic you deliver would give me hours of work but you need (and deserve) the pad on the back once in awhile; great job. And to be honest; Conte's newer ZW sculpts look way better than their old ones. Gives us something to look forward to.

Thanks again for your comments Joachim and now to play with my Little Legion Figures.....The Lt.

General, sir,
You bet your bippy they're Trophy. Lt. has the whole set of 1st King's Dragoon Guards. They had the distinction in the War of capturing King Cetshwayo in late August! They are beauties, aren't they!? Mike

Allright, that pic is just awesome. This is something totally different Lt.
You need to make more intimate scenes, or micro-dioramas.
