In a way they did save them as a patrol would find them lying in the river all worn. But the zulus didn't take them as a trophy. So M and C did do something right. Except for abandoning their comrades. But that's a point of debate. Let's keep the heroic version alive.
The set pictured is a very nice action packed set with a lot of drama. I don't think I ever saw a Kingcast set. Good luck obtaining it KV.

Beautiful work. Just like being there. Are you going to add these to the Treefrog Photo Gallery? I may use one on the Anglo-Zulu War Resources web page to update your earlier photo there. Anyone you particularly favor?

You know, I think I'll go and watch both Zulu and Zulu Dawn YET again this afternoon while I wait for the paint, plaster, glue, etc. to dry out on the latest diorama base I've built.
Despite a valiant defence, I'm slowly but surely being drawn into the Zulu War.
Aaaaaiiiieeeee......
Best Regards

Be very careful Harry and hope you've enjoyed watching Zulu Dawn again look at all the great dio's that you can spend your time doing whenever you get bored which is doubtful once you started you collection of the period. By the way have been enjoying your photos and along with their comments being posted on both forums and thanks for the time and effort being spent in creating your dio's and photographing them......The Lt.
I have been to their grave. The alternate theory is that they committed suicide when they realized that they had survided but all their comrades had died. My wife's theroy is that they were tragic homosexual lovers. But she always had a bit of a romatic streak in her. I think they were brave men.

Who are you talking about Damian? (The failed attempt to save the colours at Isandalwana perhaps?)
Cheers

Would he be a dismounted, mounted Natal Policeman?
