Creating The Battle of Rorke's Drift (1 Viewer)

These are really nice figures. Are they still available in any #s? Maybe at West Coaster? Keep it coming Lt.!

Nice photo Michael of the Clan. Will they be a second generation of a Kilted Vampire. In answer to your question as to the availability of Hand to Hand Sets currently availabe I really can't guide you. The only one I know of is Throphy of Texas whose currently offering part of his collection along with anothers for sale with no returns and no credit cards and you'll he's jacket up his prices since Throphy of Wales Ltd. been sold. From an E-mail received from Len Taylor whose retired and transfer ownship of the Thropy name the new owner is suppose to be releasing the whole line of figures sometime this year. It's possible you may find a few sets floating around while visiting the CA Show..........The Lt.

Bowing to my Generals wishes. Lieutenant Bromhead takes on two Zulu's joined by others and continues to defend the hospital against all odds..........The Lt.

On January the 22nd, 1879, a 128 years ago today a Zulu force of 4000 Warriors consiting of elements of the iNdluyengwe, uThulwana, iNdlondlo and uDloko ibutho attack the garrison at Rorke's Drift. My earlier photos along with the attached reflect some of the events that took place on that eventful date...........The Lt.

The figures I favor most today have been my Trophy of Wales LTD. Own at the time by Len Taylor who tranfered the ownership of the Trophy Trademark and by the way related to Private Fredrick Taylor who was at Rorke's Drift on the 22nd and 23rd January 1879. His figures give me lots of room to play with.
Hope all well.....Joe

Thanks, Joe. Do you have any "Little Legions" figures, I saw an advertisement for them in a Toy Soldier magazine and was wondering if they're as good as they look. Are you looking forward to Britians new Zulu line, sounds promising with the recent improvements in sculpts and paint:)

Fred

Good morning Fred, If you go to page 10 and post 17 the figures that appear there are from Little Legion. Mike Norris in the past was associated with Throphy of Wales prior to going on his own. He's created a nice line of figures Currently with over a 176 sets covering the Zulu War. Some of the figures are a little on the slender side but very well done. The figures can be gotten from The Toy Soldier Shoppe located in WI. C.V. The photos are from scenes I would like to see in a remake of the Movie ZULU. An looking forward to Britians Line of figures of the Zulu War...Joe

I'm adding a photo I just took which the Little Legion figures are on the right of the Trophy figures. There is a slight difference but they go well together. Joe

Nice picture, it looks like the figures complement each other quite well.:)
Thanks.

Fred

While the Zulus are preparing for their next assault thought I' slip in a few photos of what Santa Joe put under my tree at Christmas. The figures are all from Little Legion and as stated earlier he has quite a selection. The thrid photo is a 3 piece set of the Natal Mounted Police and the last two are of the Natal Native Horse on foot. Got to get ready for the Zulus next assault Enjoy the photos.........Joe

Paul Herrman of the Toy Soldier Shoppe in Wauwautusa Wisconsin is one of the best people in this business, a real gentleman. I have viewed the Little Legion figures in his room at the Chicago Show, and they are, in my opinion, just about the best glossy figures I have ever seen, even better than Trophy. They also make some excellent Napoleonic figures which the hard core Napoleonic fans would be well served to take a look at.

Does this shop have a website? I just have to have those militia troops...Michael

I just did a search Michael and he doesn't appear to have a site.

Here's his phone number: 404 302 1850

Good Morning Gentlemen, Mike Norris of Little Legion has just up graded his web site which is www.littlelegion.co.uk and the site is showing only a small portion of his Zulu Line. Also appearing on the site are figures from his Napoleonic Line which I haven't had a chance to look at this AM. Louis I agree with you that Paul is quite the gentleman and a pleasure to do deal with but highly disagree with you that Little Legions figures are better than Trophy's. Mike has been quite creative in putting together his Zulu line but you must remember he learned from the MASTER Len Taylor. Michael, Paul Herrman will be more than happy to provide you with a list of the figures available. At this time Little Legion now happens to be the best source of adding Gloss Finished figures to anyones Zulu War collection and they do compliment the Trophy Line.............The Lt.
