Cricket 2011-2012 (2 Viewers)

Did all my Aussie friends go on Holiday yesterday??? We were fifty odd for five at one point and not a word!^&grin:D:wink2:

Hopefully we can drag it back a bit today.

Rob

Rob,

what match is this ????

John

We are playing Pakistan in Dubai John, terrible start , but now its not the disaster it threatened to be.

Rob

No it wasn't a disaster, it was a TOTAL disaster, there's quite a diff there!:rolleyes2::(

Won't be number 1 for long if this keeps up.

We Aussies like to keep some perspective to cricket, and indeed, sports in general. As a nation we are unanimous in the belief that sport is about the competition, not the victory. Not one of us has ever lost sight of the fact that it is nothing more, or less, than a game. In addition we are far too classy to take delight in the misfortune of other teams. I haven't even looked at the score - how did things end up?

Jack mate,
You are a pistol. Was that a very subtle way of saying we are waiting till the "two and froms" travel downunder to get their butts kicked and lose the Ashes.^&grin^&grin
Cheers Howard

Dear Rob

I am sure I don't know what you mean. I am nothing if not sincere. It seems as though you are picking an argument - wasn't there a bet about that?

By the way - isn't Ian Botham just one really top bloke!

I would never threaten the two Englishmen currently playing for England with anything like that!

No argument here my friend just a bit of sporting banter! I fully intend to win that bet:wink2:

Botham was a legend wasn't he, we could do more of his type .

A bit of Woodrow Wilson in your blood, Rob - didn't he say something like 'there is such a thing as a man too proud to fight'.

Sounds about right Jack, got myself into too many rows on here so time to chill or move on. Life is too short and all that. I know one or two want to test my resolve on this which may make it difficult , but hey ho.

Great to have you on the forum Jack .

Yep you are playing very well indeed Wayne, India have taken quite a beating in the last year, next years Ashes will as ever be a goodie mate!. If you get the number one spot back playing like you are it will be well deserved. We now have to up our game against Pakistan, man this game is so much better than football!

Ah, Rob mate, just what do you Englishmen mean when you say football? Is it the one played in heaven, or the one played in Brazil. And yes always good to play the old enemy, now that's Cricket.
Cheers.
Waynepoo.{sm2}{sm3}{sm4}^&cool^&grin:D

Waynepoo, its the proper version, the one the whole world plays!{eek3}^&grin:wink2: Only kidding , never watched Aussie football but sure its a blast. As for FIFA Football I really enjoy watching World/European cups etc, but club football leaves me cold I'm afraid. Cricket every time for me. Grew up watching Eng v Aus and those wickedly fast West Indian quicks.

Cheers
