Daniel Boone leads settlers into Kentucky. (4 Viewers)

Daniel Boone first tried to lead settlers to Kentucky in 1773, but was forced to turn back after fierce fight with the Shawnee. His youngest son was killed in the fight. Financially backed by Judge Richard Henderson, he and 30 axemen blazed a trail known as the Wilderness Trail in April of 1775. He then lead his family and others settle to Boonesborough in September of that same year.

Great looking diorama Steve, with a dramatic tension as to whether some whooping savages will swoop out of the woods at any second.
Not a piece of history, like so many that come briefly into the limelight, I had ever heard of before, so thanks for the history lesson

Very cool looking diorama!!! I LOVE the Daniel Boone figure, as it appears historically accurate, in that Boone was never really known for wearing a coonskin cap but rather a wide-brimmed felt or beaver fur hat. Who is the manufacturer of that particular figure. I don't think I've ever seen it before.
