Dinner tonite (2 Viewers)

Okay guys, I just got back from Vegas and finally ate something good. I had oyster rockerfeller (spelled wrong), grilled scallops and lobster bisque for appetizers. A nice ribeye steak with a port peppercorn sauce for the main course and washed down with 2-Jack Daniels on the rocks. Tonight, my daughter had a pep rally at her high school and we ate McDonald's once again.

I like the first menu you described a lot including the two Jack Daniels on the rocks ^&grin
As of the dinner tonight, that is quite a cut back, but if it's for the daughter's pep rally, I would and did dig in at a fast food place myself :salute::

Cheers and Bon Appetite!

Just a good ol fashion dinner tonite, baked pork chops, Mac and cheese, rolls, nothing fancy but a tasty meal for sure...Sammy

Another night in Las Vegas, I ate at a sushi bar. I had two pairs of Hamachi, creamy in texture with buttery, oily taste (my favorite). Amai Ebi, raw shrimp sushi with deep fried heads. Kani, crab sushi. I drank 3-McCallan scotches on the rocks. BTW, McCallan is my favorite scotch for the money. Anybody out there know a good scotch for the money (less than $100 for 750 ml).

Had a nice dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, corn, and a roll. The food was good, but the best part about it was I was in Gettysburg PA.

Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or 12 is about $70, in the middle there is Dalmore 15 which goes for $75 or Glenlivet 18 which I think costs around $80 or and you could go with the Glenfiddich Cask Of Dreams for pretty close to $100.

I tried the Glen Livet, but I find the McCallan to be smoother even though its only 12-year old. I'll be on the lookout to try the others. One time in Costco, they had a 1.75 Ltr McCallan for $99. What a deal, but haven't seen it since. Thanks Panzer Ace and sorry Sammy for going a little off topic.

Happy to help. BTW Glenfiddich is my good bang for the buck brand.

And to get us back on topic, I am having Joe's Special tonight, ground turkey (it should be beef but I do not want to use my weekly red meet on that), egg whites and spinach all blended together. And thanks to Go for Broke, I will have a glass of scotch for dessert.

Had a few of these now might wash it down with a inch thick Porterhouse and salad.

Pizza time tonight :smile2:
Here's what I came up with.

Was looking for to make a "Seafood" Pizza.
Used a can of Tuna and some cooked shrimps (picture 1)
The vegetables to go with it are green asparagus and for a little kick, a sliced Jalapeno.

In the second picture you see the remaining stuff, a ready made Thin Pizza Crust from your grocery store.
I found out for myself that it is not worth it to deal with the flour, yeast and all that to make a homemade crust.
The cheese I use is a grated "Mexican" mix and I add a few slices of "White American" for a creamier taste.
A little dose of "Fried Onions" gets added to the mix.
Since I come from Europe I also want to point out that I prefer to have my toppings covered by cheese and not on top of it.

The sauce I use is a standard commercially available Pizza Sauce, and as of spices I use, of course, Oregano (a must for any Pizza) and some Garlic Salt (not in the picture)

The third pic shows the pizza as it came out of the oven. I like it when there are just a few brown spots on the melted cheese.

Every now and then, I make a "luxury" version of this and then some mussels and/or scallops are included :smile2:

While I was writing this mail, I am about half way through the pizza ^&grin
Good stuff :wink2:

Cheers and Bon Appetite!

Last night my mother hosted a small party so I made falafel from scratch as well as samosas with chutney. For desert my mother made Jewish apple cake and mini pecan pies. Thanks for teaching me how to cook, Mom!:salute::
