Discovering King Tutankhamun (1 Viewer)

Although I have always admired the Ancient Egypt range, I've never thought about collecting it. That is until now. Archaeology has always been an interest for me and with the spin off sub range, Discovering King Tutankhamun, it was only a matter of time before I decided to "jump in". Of course the wonderfully done Egyptian dioramas and displays by members such as Robin (Villagehorse), Rob (WesternOutlaw), and Mike Miller, helped facilitate my need to follow suit. I must say I'm not disappointed that I did. The sets I've been able to collect so far are very well done. Certainly there's more to be added, but here's my shelf display so far.

Already you have put together some intriguing views of the tomb Mike. There is an array of further discoveries to be had which like Howard Carter, you will find in due time. It is a wonderful colourful series to collect. Really great that you have embraced it, as I get to enjoy someone’s work. Robin.

Thank you very much Robin, much appreciated. I'm not sure if I have embraced this series or if I've been compelled to collect it as if cursed by the mummy . In any case, I'm very happy to finally have started collecting this range.

Hey Mike, always fun to start collecting a new series. I'm tempted to collect this range as my Grandfather spent several months there as a Trooper with the Australian Lighthorse and later as a Military Policeman patrolling Egypt/Palestine etc during WWI. He brought back several souveniers including a Brass Cobra that I still have, he has lost his 'Ruby' eyes but is still fierce.

Awesome, Mike! Loving what you've quickly brought together. As always, our hobby is all about the details. Your tan shelf coverage works well and I see that you did some custom work on K&C paper tomb creating an entrance (plus using the extra piece for the temple). Creative ideas that worked out well.

Nice placement of everything so far, I look forward to seeing what you will be adding next.

Best of Luck Mike. Plenty of Egyptology artifacts to consider, even outside our hobby in terms of scenery but K&C is worthy. We have a few but don't want to part with any of our Ancient Egypt. Sounds good so far. I'm sure Dad & I will like it.

A great family story. I can certainly see why you are tempted by this series. My grandfather also served during WWI however in France.

You have a very good eye for detail Rob. My attempt at being creative. The next thing I want to do is produce a more eye appealing back drop featuring the temples and buildings at Luxor, Egypt.
