Dispatches are up!! (1 Viewer)

I would encourage anyone thinking about the Patrol Jeep to grab one before they are gone... it's a superb set.

I fully agree, I got this when it first came out and I think its one of the best Jeeps K&C have made so far.

Rob

Love the BR1 guys, would love to pick up the set with the one soldier lying firing and the other lying loading, but I just don't see it in the future, I need to focus on WW1 and my newfound (but limited) Napoleonic interests. Hopefully some really cool Civil War stuff will be out in the next couple of months, as an American my interest in that conflict has always been great but like I've said I've been waiting for that one release to come out that just blows me away. (Don't get me wrong, all the K&C ACW stuff has been really cool, however none of it has blown my mind sufficiently to warrant me straying from WW1).

My May dispatch thoughts are mixed. This months releases seem fewer than usual and the retirements seem to be increasing. :confused:

Positives:1) Improvements abound in facial expressions on figures which are getting more pronounced and differentiated, details on clothing (like folds and stenciling) and details on the vehicles are great and improving.
2) The RAF fuel truck is awesome, I've hopefully managed to preorder one! :p
3) There's nothing in the retirements I need for my collection.
4) The Priest is great as are the GI's.
5) Looking forward to a new Ancients line.

Negatives:1) PRICES keep on going up at a tremendous pace! :( I'm really starting to feel the squeeze. I'm almost to the point where vehicles, airplanes, structures and AFV's are out of reach.....its really getting me down.
2. I really want some WWI planes but at these inflated prices I'm having my doubts whether I'll be able to get a few for my collection.

Bye for now gentlemen

If the crew was not an add-on, the total cost would be $297 - $225 for the Priest and $72 for the 2 crew. But why wish it wasn't an add-on? That makes no sense to me. If you want the model with crew, get them both and pretend it's one set. :rolleyes2: Unless this is some diabolical plot by Andy {sm2}

Terry

Without the crew the priest is a little bland and a bit pricey...It's the figures that make it come alive...I would only want the priest with the figures...Thus $297 is the "Real Price".....A "short while back" & not so long ago we could exspect a couple of figures with K/C Armour included......Now we pay more for less....Add ons do not help; they only add to the overall cost....The Tunsian Tiger, the Panzers IV, the Winter Tiger all had some crew....without the crew these older pieces are "incomplete"...same for the priest..."incomplete" IMO

Seriously, $74 for two figures, $74? The average figure now costs $37, and now it seems all AFV's cost over $200. I really miss the days of $70 or even $84 for four figures. Will prices ever level out?

It has to be a very special piece to entice me at $37 per fig. :rolleyes2: Will probably give it up for the Priest since I missed out on the original issue.

I think the Priest is wonderful. But, I am going to pass. Too rich for my blood. That bums me out cause I like it and missed the first one. Honestly Andy, the cost is killing me. I will try to pick up some of the GIs.{sm2}

I wonder how it stack up with figarti's M7 priest...in terms of size. Price wise, figarti's M7 @ $219 w/ 3 crew is a bargain. I like both models and may get this KC w/o the optional crew. are the stowage and tree trunk removable?

NP

The Priest and American soldiers are beautiful, but as Terp152 said, you need to be ultra selective to buy figures now. Heck, I was already crying when figures went to $29.00 each. Boohoo.

I am going to personally get the remaining VOLKSTURM figures coming out, bicycle figures, etc and one of the 250 Volkswagons.This should keep my plate full till next month !!!!! ^&grin

The Priest in my opinion is worth the Price ( the previous release at the secondary Market is 2 to 3 times that price, I saw One going for $850.00) , And have been wanting this particular pieces for years. So A $300. 00 price tag is a deal for me.
I am also glad that Andy has been re-issuing some pieces that are really wants for some of us. (1.the Lah drum horse, secondary market lists that around $300. if you find one. 2. the Winter tiger (secondary market before the latest release) around $600 to a grand). So finally all the people that has been asking this outrageous prices. has now pieces that are are the same price as us ( there is a profit, but not as much as it was before).
Andy, Thanks for putting the Priest out. Can you please make The Sherman Calliope, to make Rob Happy, and A lot of others very happy.
The M16 Quad halftrack, Or M8 greyhound armour Car. Re-releases would be great Too. I am A Fan Again!!:salute::

I agree that M7 is pricey but it sure looks nice. I am looking to fiddle one into the budget. I think Andy was smart to do this version. The "Priests" with early features lasted until the end of the war. I like the looks of the prone GIs too.

...and not to forget the WC 56/57 Patton Command Car!

Absolutely agree my friend. The prices on the original have got so big that it's out of my league I'm afraid:redface2: However K&C come along and say well here's an even better one, new and improved!. For me this model and it's crew are essential for my Normandy US forces, I will clear the Bocage of Germans if it's the last thing I do!{sm4}:wink2:

And as for the Calliope...you are a mind reader, yes please! :smile2:

Cheers

Rob

I WOODN'Tknow mate..................{sm4}

Got it covered this time they are on both sides. But, are they regulation length and, if my eyes do not decieve me they look as if they have been cut against regulations and on the wrong angle. I would think there would also be an issue with the knotting of the ropes.

Looks a nice set apart from all these issues!!!
