Dispatches are up!! (1 Viewer)

Some excellent previews in this dispatch. The SL MK set is very nice, but I'm not certain I will be able to get it. I will, however, plan on getting the Panzerjager I. That is one impressive looking set! And I really like the AK Germans in great coats. Some excellent action poses there. I'll definitely be picking up two of the figures AK78 and AK81, and would also like to add AK082, but I'll will wait until I see it in the flesh before deciding

It's a nice surprise to see there's something for us Medieval collectors this month. I've already put my order in for this one. These two galloping characters already have places reserved in my Crusades diroram. The Bruce on his white rearing horse is an especially beautiful and dramatic piece. While I'm generally trying to make my Crusades diorama as realistic as I possibly can, I'm also doing it for fun, so I can take some slight artistic license at times like this.

As well as the Typhoon etc I'm very impressed with the forthcoming trucks. An RAF version is the must buy and the Mickey mouse camo will also have a slightly different use in the near future I suspect. The AK AFV is also pretty cool looking and I can imagine a nice dio built around that too.

Rob, thanks as always for posting these.

Really a nice round of releases. Obviously the Typhoon is great, and I expected the Naps along with the Ancient in Egyptian.

But I'm a big fan of the AK troops in their greatcoats. And the Robert the Bruce/Bannockburn(sp?) MK set is quite something.

The price of the Typhoon was a bit of a shock though, but I'll leave that for the Typhoon thread.

My pleasure Mark, I always enjoy doing it.

Rob

The AK guys are SICK! Especially the firing riflemen and the guy firing the machine gun from the hip. Very nice! And more Nap in Egypt stuff comming later in the year! Can't wait!

I agree, its good to see more AK soldiers in the long coats, I do like the AK Panzerjager too, a less well known AFV than most and a terrific looking model.

Rob

Rob..

Agree the panzerjager is a nice model to produce. I look forward to seeing the grey variant and hope its an FOB release with early war crew. Hope to see more of these AFV's from K&C in the future

Re : Into Every life a little Rain Must Fall…

Hi Guys,

As some of you know when it comes to writing something negative about K&C our old chum “VEZZOLF” is never backward at coming forward.

As one of the original “prophets of gloom and doom”…(at least as far as K&C is concerned) dear old “VEZZOLF” loves to tell you “we’re all DOOMED!”

Well my friends some folks would like you to think that and for a few others it’s their dearest wish…But K&C has been around now for almost 30 years and we intend going on for a few more…so sorry to disappoint you “VEZZOLF”.

Best wishes to the rest of you guys,
Andy

Some good fallout from the price increases is the likelihood of seeing more small but historically important AFVs, likely in 250 series. These are pieces that may not have been considered worth producing a few years ago but would be "affordable" to most collectors. The Panzerjager I is a good example of that. After all, we certainly have enough of the big AFVs and there are years worth of small AFVs that can be produced.

It's a problem for collectors who are completionists or want several versions of an AFV, or multiple figures for displays, but for most collectors, that is no longer affordable so some change in collecting habits is being forced on collectors. The changes range from reducing the number of ranges, buying one or two figures instead of 6, buying an AFV without the add-on crew all the way to dropping out of actively collecting.
